Back from an extended break while I got my life in order and my husband a job!

I'm nuri. I'm awesome. I don't like salad that much. I do however, like acorns and peacocks. I'm not very crafty myself but I love little crafts that others do. I'm a bath product junkie, enjoy dressing up funny (medieval and fantasy mostly -- urge to do victorian is rising) and I'm a bellydancer, leaning towards tribal style.

In more mundane matters, I work for a very large Insurance company as a Replacement Services Assistant. Which means, I get to quote and get discounts for peoples products. Before this, I worked for the bank associated with the same company.

Things I really enjoy: Peacocks Acorns Art Nouveau (particularly Mucha) Art Notecards and Postcards Recipes! Ribbon and Lace and feathers and shells Vintage and Steampunk inspired anything.

I'm not really a scrapbooker, but papercrafts seem sort of neat. I am gradually learning to have some artistic ability. It is a slow process.

I'm also a Dionysos and Hestia-oriented Hellenic Polytheist. I do not mind receiving Christian-oriented items, but they will be reswapped or found a home that will enjoy them more.

The Sparrow by Maria Doria Russell, Dies the Fire by S. M. Stirling (and assorted sequels), Pride and Prejudice (with and without zombies), and the Temeraire series.

I also collect pre-1940s books and treasury collections.

I don't have a favorite music type. I have random music that I listen to obsessively for weeks at a time. And then it changes. Recently: Bellydance Superstars compilations, Glee soundtracks, Great Big Sea, Medieval Baebes.

My favorite song, evidenced by my itunes playlist is Sarah Fimm and Beauty's Confusion: Be Like Water (Isolation Mix)

Otherwise, I listen to podcasts: Savage Love and a variety of NPR broadcasts. I love Wait Wait Don't Tell and have seen it live.

I can't sit through movies, I don't have an attention span.

The TV isn't usually on, but I have netflix and I'm not afraid to use it. Currently Watching through Netflix: all of Star Trek
