Hello! My name is Natalie, and I am 33 years old, currently living in Texas.
I love reading (especially historical fiction and classics), writing letters and sending packages, making paper crafts and mini books, antiquing and flea marketing, trying out new recipes, and organizing everything in my house. I know, the last one is weird, but I find it to be relaxing!
I spend the bulk of my free time writing letters and creating little things/packages to send to my friends, family, and swap-bot friends. I therefore have an extensive collection of stationery. I love it. I also love vintage invitations, calling cards, Christmas cards, etc. I swoon over letterpress stationery, especially.
I love vintage everything, it seems. I love entertaining and collecting things for entertaining, especially old fashioned, neat things - cocktail napkins, salt cellars, salt spoons, silver spoons, candlesticks, butter pats, etc. I also love vintage aprons and making classic recipes out of the Good Housekeeping plaid cookbook!
I love ribbon, old books (I read them!), old Valentines (it's my favorite holiday), anything French, anything German, and especially anything British. I recently traveled to Japan, so my latest obsession is ANYTHING Japanese - kimono fabric, traditional clothing, green tea, origami paper, Japanese stationery, anything traditionally Japanese - so beautiful!!!!
I am an avid collector. I collect vintage and antique buttons (and new adorable buttons!), vintage compacts, cameos, and vintage rhinestone pins. I also love vintage toys and anything celluloid.
I love Martha Stewart and reading design blogs. I particularly love Eddie Ross. I love design and art coffee table books, especially vintage ones! I love Matchbook Magazine and I am an etsy fanatic, too. I don't even need to buy anything - I just like to look at everything and I love the etsy videos on the blog section.
And finally, I love to travel. I have traveled a lot around Europe, but also South America and Asia. I also have a goal of seeing all 50 states in the US before I die!
My day job involves me being a lawyer and a Soldier - both of which are worlds away from the world of my interests, as you can see!
Anything involving ribbon. I love, love ribbon. And paper. I have always loved paper. That includes scrapbooking paper, origami paper, wrapping paper, and stationery. I am newly addicted to washi tape.
My favorite craft products are made by Martha Stewart, Anna Griffin, and anything vintage from French General.
I love wrapping paper, cellophane bags, bakers twine, buttons, paper flowers, vintage millinery flowers - anything that can be used for wrapping packages! Sending packages - pretty packages - is one of my favorite hobbies. I am by now certain that I love sending packages even more than I love receiving them!
I love Little Women. I am the oldest of four girls, so that is why the movie is so dear to me. I also love Gone With the Wind, Napolean Dynamite, Titanic, and The English Patient. I am lately really into watching old movies - the older and more glamorous, the better!
The Office! And Mad Men. I love that time period!
I love nature - birds (on anything, of any type), feathers, sea shells, fossils, interesting rocks. I love sculpture, pottery, doodles, art. I love Earl Grey tea, Japanese green tea, and mint tea. I love the mini packs of tissues, especially the ones with decoration on them. I am a child of the 80s, so I love Hello Kitty, Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, and Care Bears. I love French macaroons. I love Pepperidge Farm cookies, especially any raspberry kind.
Happy Swapping!

wow-i am SPEECHLESS after opening the lovely box of goodies from you for the "Paris, I Love You" swap! By far one of the most amazing swap gifts I have EVER been the lucky recipient of! Your generosity is humbling and I am so honored that you shared so many lovely French inspired pretties with me! MERCI, MON AMIE!! ~xo~
Oooohs and aaaahs all around! I want to come play embellishments at your house --- Seriously, thank you SO MUCH for the "thank you" gift. Every little bauble, silk thread, etc. was such beautiful quality that I feel oh-so-spoiled. When I turn a page in any book (lovely bookmark), I will think of this wonderful package. I, too, hope our paths cross again - Thanks so much for sharing yourself (and your stash!!) with me.
you are a swap queen
Thank you so much for the wonderful Hanyeo Museum postcard. The building is wonderful, and hearing about the women and living in Korea is very interesting!
