I'm French-Canadian and I have been living in Japan for almost 20 years, I'm married to a Japanese and we are raising our 11 year old son bilingually. I teach French and English.
I am learning piano, flamenco and a Japanese folk art called Picture Postcard - drawing seasonal things on postcards with a brush and black ink and watercolors. I also keep a journal with drawings and photos. I have difficulty throwing out even the smallest scraps of paper! I like to sketch. I like movies, reading, hiking and traveling. I have two interesting dogs, a Basenji and a Shiba.
I listen to classic music mostly Mozart and Erik Satie; Miles Davis, French music from chanson to rock, flamenco music, Billie Holiday, Paolo Conti, Chantal Chamberland, Keith Jarrett. Manu Chao
I read and read and read. I read in English, French and Spanish. I like mysteries, books about prose and poetry, biograpies, personal reporting and historical analysis. The number one Ladies' detective agency series.
I adore French movies and some American movies too.
