Not much to say really. I moved to Vancouver over a year ago . I don't want to say that I don't like it here but it hasn't been an easy change. I miss the sun and my friends.
I love to learn. I collect rocks and beads. I like better quality Hello Kitty stuff, art, crafty stuff that shows how much the person who made it cared about it and odd cultural odds n ends that either I find on my travels or friends bring back for me, random objects picked up along the way and books.
I will read just about anything under the sun from war and Peace to the labels of stuff on the dinner table. Small wonder I became a librarian. ;)
As a librarian I'm always interested what other people are reading or books that they have enjoyed in the past. If you have a really good one drop me a line and let me know.
I'm currently rereading The Lord of the Rings for the 50th billion time.
Still don't watch much TV but I do like House, Mythbusters, Dollhouse and 30 Rock.
Lets see I crochet like mad woman but i still haven't been able to figure out knitting. Yarn is always a good thing especially if it is unique.
I've been taking silversmithing classes for the last year or so. I'm also hoping to get back into ceramics.
I still make yarn leis but there hasn't been as much of call for it since I moved. I keep thinking I should do a swap related to this craft but not sure if anyone would be interested.
And since moving to Vancouver I've taken up soapstone carving.
