I worship the Rat Pack. Trey Parker makes me laugh, therefore he is one of the most attractive men to have lived. Same goes for Will Ferrell. And the cast of The Kids in the Hall.
I read Dilbert. I am a bibliophile. I quote Shakespeare on a regular basis and Forrest Gump. I get Questionable Content references. I've read everything Oscar Wilde wrote. I am a former Harry Potter addict.
I have a wicked sense of humour and I believe Mel Brooks is God. I have watched the Donny Osmond version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat over 700 times. That is not an exaggeration. I have an appreciation for far too many adolescent things. High School Musical being the worst.
I am in love with Dean Martin, Jimmy Stewart, Donny Osmond, Emma Thompson, and Queen Latifah. Oh, and my girlfriend.
I have a thing for keys. All sorts. Mostly old/antique keys. They fascinate me. I also have a thing for socks, the stranger the better (except for toe socks). And lastly compasses.
I am a movie buff. My favorites are referenced and mentioned throughout my profile.
I am a NUKE fangirl. If you don't know what that means, you can't make fun of me. And if you do know what that means, you shouldn't make fun of me.
My grandfather told me, Make 'Em Laugh. Life is supposed to be funny. And I intend on getting a cheap laugh or two out of it.
I aspire to be Elwood P. Dodd.
P.S. I just fell in love with the Get Smart film. It appears it is always a good idea to take an old Nick at Night Program and turn it into a feature film. Up next, here's to hoping for Taxi or Welcome Back Kotter!
Favorite Shakespeare Play: Twelfth Night
Favorite Shakespeare sonnet: I'll be honest, I've never been a fan of his sonnets. I prefer to read his poetry in long, drawn out, play form.
Favorite Shakespeare character: Puck (Robin Goodfellow) from A Midsummer Night's Dream
Favorite quote/line from a play or sonnet: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Act V, Scene I, "If we shadows have offended, think but this and all is mended, that you have but slumber'd here while these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, no more yielding but a dream, Gentles, do not reprehend: if you pardon, we will mend: and as I am an honest Puck, if we have unearned luck, so to scape the serpent's tongue, we will make amends ere long; else the Puck a liar call; so, good night unto you all. Give me your hands if we be friends, and Robin shall restore amends."
Favorite movie adaption (i.e. Shakespeare in Love, any of the Kenneth Branagh adaptations): Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing. Or Trevor Nunn's Twelfth Night.
Favorite actor in a Shakespeare play/movie: Robert Sean Leonard as Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing. Emma Thompson as Beatrice.
Most hated Shakespeare's character: I'd say Iago from Othello, but seeing as this character is written to be despised, I'll go with Hermia from AMSND. Her character always annoyed me and I tend to root for the underdog. Poor Helena.
Favorite color: Brown/Green/Black.
Shirt size? Men's Large. Women's XXL.
What type of crafts can you do? Naught, unless mix cds and journals count.
What type of crafts would you like to receive? I appreciate any and all crafts because I am so useless at them.
Any more information you would like to tell your partner: "A dear happiness to women: they would else have been troubled with a pernicious suitor. I thank God and my cold blood, I am of your humour for that: I had rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swear he loves me."
I am not crafty. I write. I make mix cds. I like to draw. I love postcards. I love themes and making them work. But as far as creating some neat tangible object to admire? I mostly fail. That is not to say I will not attempt to be crafty. Just don't expect it to be amazing.
Avid Discovery Channel watcher. I want to be Steve Irwin, only Stingray free.
Zoology major. Mammalogy preference. llamas, siberian tigers, black bears, elephants, and penguins are the absolute favorites.
I also like cartoons. Obscenely so. Butters Stotch from South Park is my favorite (and will be my next tattoo.)
What Would Donny Osmond Do?
Not religious in the slightest, but totally fascinated by all things related to mormonism.
Merriam Webster's definition of eclectic: composed of elements drawn from various sources.
But to narrow it down, Mr. iPod's Favorites:
Queen. The Beatles. Scorpions. Cherry Poppin' Daddies. Dean Martin. Frank Sinatra. Sammy Davis Jr. Donny Osmond. Blink 182. Elvis Presley. Me First and the Gimme Gimmies.
anything related to:
mormonism; mythology; shakespeare; comedy (mostly frat pack and south park); writing (how to books, the more sarcastic the better); zoos (mammals specifically); keys (the older the better); ducks; elephants; generation nintendo; the rat pack; pictures; postcards; mix CDs; compasses; socks; Forrest Gump; Get Smart.
if it seems like it would be something i would not like, i'd probably like it just to be a rebel.
If for any reason you do not receive what I send you, please let me know. I will fix it.
I like open communication and am not a fan of negativity.
