I'm a university student studying english and archaeology which means I'm addicted to books and anything old. I've hardly traveled at all so am keen to hear anything about anywhere! I really want to travel to South America and I'm hoping to go there at the end of the year. Of course, I also want to go to Paris, oh Paris! How come everything sounds better in french? I have always collected little souvenirs of my life which is how I got into scrapbooking as I didn't want to lose any more of my mementos (much was lost in the great house moving of 2004). I live in Perth, Western Australia which is known as Dullsville. This is a little unfair as their is a great art scene here and if you take some time to look around there are some amazing things. I have a cat which I love so much I sometimes wonder if I'm a crazy old cat lady despite being young? I think i'll be safe as long as I don't get any more cats... I'm also a vegetarian and an atheist but accept anyone as long as they don't try to change me.

My favorite authors are: Agatha Christie (master of crime) Terry Pratchett (skillfully funny) Oscar Wilde (so beautiful) and Richard Flanagan (poetic!) I also love Pride and prejudice, The time traveler's wife, The fartherest away mountain, My year without meat, and basically anything I can get my hands on.

Clockwork Orange has to be my favorite movie of all time. It is so elegantly filmed and the way you actually care and identify with such an immoral person is amazing. Aristocats is another fave and the Little Mermaid actually basically any disney film has the thumbs up from me. The big lebowski, Memoirs of a geisha, Sin city, Everything is illuminated, Once upon a time in Mexico, Little Voice, Edward Scissorhands, Trainspotting and anything with Jay and Silent Bob are also faves.

I mainly dabble in scrapbooking/collage but love all art. Anything vintage, beautiful or creative. I love found objects in art, scraps of peoples lives and fragments of another world. I also love softies although i haven't made many yet and I'm a lomo lover.

I don't listen to enough music so I welcome any suggestions especially any of your local bands because there's almost no way I'd have heard them before as I'm terrible at finding new, relatively unknown bands. I like Phoenix, Blink 182, Crowded House, Augie March, The Beautiful Girls, The Presets, Blondie, Ladyhawke, The Killers, The Grates, Little Birdy, The Shins, Yves Saint Blues, Queen and Bliss & Esso. If you haven't heard of some of these bands (a lot are aussies) then check them out, well worth a listen.
