My name is Lisa. I'm 35 years old and live in Oklahoma. I have one son, who is 10. He is my world.
I graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2009 with a double degree in public relations and journalism with a minor in English. I work in retail clothing as a sales associate and have a bit of a passion for fashion.
I love scouring garage and estate sales, antique shops and consignment/thrift stores for unique finds. I adore being able to create things and send things to people.
My main hobbies are playing roller derby and cooking. I also like to read, particularly horror, and write, particularly poetry. I am fairly eclectic and look hard-edged but am told I have a soft, sweet voice that doesn't match my appearance. I love coffee also!
I am a frugal fiend who loves saving money and getting things for free, and have been that way since I was a little girl. But I also love giving things. Ergo, I love to coupon and gift others.
As a hobby, I also like to cut pictures and words out of magazines, and assemble them as a collage on posterboard to give to friends or hang on my wall.
I am a freelance DJ and have two turntables, a mixer, and a collection of more than 200 vinyl records.
Likes: Roller derby, ducks, skulls, hard rock music, hot pink and black, animal print, "floofy" things, glittery things, piercings, tattoos, crafting and DIY, collaging, event planning, repurposing things, bright colors, spinning records/DJing, steampunk/rockabilly/goth style, couponing, coffee
Music is life-giving! My favorite genre is hard rock. I also like dance/electronic/dubstep, and dabble in pop, country and hip hop from time to time, depending on my mood.
Anything by Stephen King. I love horror books, and biographical books with a bit of a shock/exaggeration twist, like the ones Chelsea Handler writes. At the moment, I am toward the end of the second book in the "Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R. R. Martin, "A Clash of Kings"
I also like to read dream interpretation books and non-fiction paranormal books, as well as self-help books pertaining to self esteem, devotionals, and DIY craft books.
My favorite of all time is "Pulp Fiction."
My favorite genres are gory horror and slapstick raunchy comedy. I don't like chick flicks and rom-coms, and not too keen on adventure or action movies. However, I do love 70s, 80s and 90s musicals. "My Fair Lady," "The Sound of Music," "Oliver," "Annie," "Fiddler on the Roof," "Newsies"...the list goes on.
