Hi there! To tell you a few things about myself… I am married and we have 5 kitties and 1 dog. I enjoy reading, writing, playing the piano, cooking, taking pictures, watching movies, bowling, water aerobics, hanging out with my friends, hanging around livejournal, spending too much time on the internet, shopping, and that’s about all I can think of right now.
My biggest passion? Making jewelry. For some people making jewelry is a hobby, but for me it’s taken to the next level. I am passionate about creating things, and jewelry has always been a favorite, even since childhood. If you make lampwork beads, then THAT is what I want from you!! I love lampwork beads… I use only high quality lampwork, gemstone, and glass beads (primarily Swarovski crystals) in my jewelry. I do not use seed/bugle beads for the most part or plastic beads of any kind. Some people can use plastic and pull it off, but I am not one of those folks! I think the one thing that would really blow me over would be if you went to a local bead shop in your area and found something unique to send me!
As far as cooking goes, I’m pretty open to receiving recipes of any kind. I am a meat eater, and I am not a fan of most types of fish (other seafood like shrimp, crab, and lobster are faves though). I like salmon. Anyway… I am on a search for healthy and easy/quick recipes. If you have healthy recipes, please send them my way!! Anything involving a grill is great, because we love grilling.
I’m afraid that if you send me the following items, I will in turn send them to someone else. In other words… things I DON’T like or have no use for are: fabric, bar soap (I’m allergic), ribbon, yarn, vanilla scented items (allergic), perfumes (again, allergic), yellow-colored items, country/reggae/hard rock music, Kawai or Japanese type stuff, plastic beads.
Things I LOVE: fun/different office supplies, sparkly things, vintage anything (especially photos, postcards, letters, or ephemera), well-made handmade items, reading, writing (letters, poetry, etc), lotions, bath products (liquid/gel soap is great!), books, tea, magazines, coffee (if you send me coffee, please send whole bean), stationery, interesting papers (maps, newspapers, etc), music (mix cds are the best!), handmade journals, leather bound journals (I love leather!), recipes (especially healthy recipes!!!), cookbooks, new toys for the kitties, and old sheet music, books, etc (the more tattered the better).
Colors I like: PINK, purple, blue, green, red, orange, brown, and black. I guess I like all colors except yellow ;-)
I think that’s about it! Thanks for taking the time to read this. To me it’s really important to pay attention to what someone has written in their profile. I heart anyone who pays close attention to what I’ve written here, and when shopping for swaps I most definitely will take your profile into account!
Oh geez. Across the board on this one... just about everything EXCEPT country music, hard rock, and reggae. When I bowl I have to have music with a good strong beat... I'm not a heavy metal fan either by the way. I can't deal with the screeching. Anyway... music is absolutely necessary to me. I HAVE to have it-- while driving, while working, while bowling, while doing just about everything. I got an mp3 player for my birthday, and I've been GLUED to it!! ;-)
Current favorites are: Adam Ezra (check him out at adamezra.com!), Faithless, Howie Day, Jack Johnson, Barenaked Ladies, Corinne Bailey Rae, Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Dave Matthews Band, David Gray, Dido, Evanescence, John Mayer, Justin Timberlake, Moby, Sarah McLachlan, U2, Scissor Sisters, Indigo Girls, Jem, Maroon 5, Pete Yorn... the list goes on!
Hm... Sliding Doors, Return to Me, Snatch, Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, Star Wars (all of 'em, except, well, #I), As Good As It Gets, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Big Fish, Finding Neverland, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Cutting Edge, Stealing Home, Finding Nemo, Mystery Alaska, Sixteen Candles..... I think that covers most of my faves... I love movies!
Studio 60, Heroes, House, American Idol (I can't help myself), Grey's Anatomy, The Office, What Not to Wear... I think that's about it. I'm not big into TV, I can take it or leave it and if I had my way, we wouldn't even have TV in the house at all. But I do like to "watch" it while making jewelry. ;-)
Jewelry, obviously... but I occasionally dabble in collage. I'm not that great at it, but I enjoy it. Sometimes I paint, too, although I haven't done that in a long time. I do what feels right, and for a couple of years now, jewelry is the only thing that has felt right.

Hi there,
Just checking to see if you got the cd I sent... I haven't received any messages saying you haven't but I also haven't received a rating. Let me know
Thanks
Hi, I'm worried you didn't get the CD yet (Spread the word mix) and if you didn't, or if you really disliked the mix I sent, please let me know and I will send another...
...thanks for organising a good swap. Felix
lindalee - Thank you for such a wonderful month of goodies (25 Days of Christmas Swap). You should have seen me tonight - about threw a fit opening #24 and #25. A dazzling array of beautiful beads and the greatest rubber stamps - just my style! And favorite ink pads times three to boot (love the Distress pads and you sent me a new color I don't have). Pure joy! I've about used all of those fortune cookie stickers, too :) Thank you again for sending such fun and whimsy. Sending you and yours best wishes for a joyful 2008.
Lindalee: I'm so glad you enjoyed the journal package I sent. I had fun writing to you. :)
Thank you so much for the wonderful package lindalee!! I cannot wait to make something with that yummy yarn and the blue earrings exactly match a dress I am making for a special day. Thank you for your thoughtfulness!
