I'm a WAHM of three. I'm an Army vet and a Navy wife. I'm a sewist by trade and a digital scrapbooker. I like to read in the summer and bake in the winter. I cook and clean because I have to, not because I want to. I love funky colors. Sewing is my passion. I don't wear jewelry very much, just a few select pieces that I love. My family likes to go on day trips around our state (Washington). I like to eat chewy candy like skittles while we travel. I don't drink coffee, but I love cocoa and sweets in general. I'm pretty plain on the outside, crazy on the inside, but I don't want to embarrass my children or husband, hee hee.
I like Jazz a lot. I'm the chorister for the kids program at church. I plunk the ivories now and then, but not enough to be any good. I like country because of the stories that are told (except all the beer and sex ones)
Hunger Games and Catching Fire were excellent. I liked reading The Samurai's Garden. I like novels that aren't an arm long and that are realistic. They have to be believable. No warlocks, no ogres, no unicorns, no spaceships, and as a rule, no elves.
I rarely get the time to watch a movie or TV, nor do I have the patience to do so when I do have the time. I'm usually walking out of the room halfway through to find something more productive to do.
I don't get time to watch TV very often, but I carve out time for LOST, the Office, Hells Kitchen, Project Runway, and if I could watch it online, Amazing Race.
LOVE sewing, especially for my kids. Loving digital scrapbooking. It's so nice not to have to fork out a bunch of money and space for supplies that never seem to fit just perfect with my projects. Digital scrapbooking has saved me so much sanity. I'm digging on Michael Miller and Amy Butler fabrics lately. I like quilting. I need a bigger house with my own "space" to create. Sewing is my business, and I simply don't have the room to do it in our home now. I'd love to do swaps in trading some fun and funky fabrics, and some trading digital scrapbooking.
My oldest is 5 and in Kindergarten. She likes to ride horses and be a princess. She is bold, but kind. She likes things that are bright, shiny, sparkly. Beautiful girl.
My middle is 3. She likes more muted things. Prefers dresses. Does whatever her sister is doing. She likes purple and pink. She is somehow always dirty and hair always tangled, I call her my ragamuffin. Sweet spirited 4-eyed girl.
My baby is almost 1. He is cloth diapered. He walks like a champ. Big boy, takes after daddy. Likes comfort over fashion.
My Hubby is an equipment operator and grease monkey. He is nothing like me at all. I can't figure out why we like each other since we have nothing in common except our kids. But we do, so that works. He is a big guy with a "uniform" of works boots, ball cap, and belt buckle. I would add beard to that list, but he has to shave it once a month for the Navy.
