Born and bread northern Californian (which is where I reside now), I'm a trustee by day, an opera singer/belly dancer by night and a novice model/photographer on the side. I love to perform, write poetry and other creative work, read obsessively, workout at the gym (it is my saving grace from the inevitable stress of life), travel, meet new people, drink coffee (I'm little bit of a coffee house geek), explore new places, DANCE!, collage, listen to music (I am ALWAYS listening to music, if only in my head at times). I got my degree in music from Boston University (emphasis in vocal performance), and I very much miss the east coast (but not the sub-zero winters!).
I'm a capricorn born in the year of the pig (whatever that all means). I dabble in feng shui and alternative medicine, but as in all things in life, I try to not take anything too seriously, including myself :)
Ours, Jeff Buckley, Sia, Bitter:Sweet, Opera (I could be more specific but most people don't know much about opera), Carla Bruni, Brigitte Bardot, Stereo Total, Nouvelle Vague, Pink Martini, Cake, Goldfrapp, older Jazz & Big Band music (eg Benny Goodman), Imogen Heap/Frou Frou, Lily Allen, M.I.A., Morrissey/The Smiths, Muse, Noe Venable, Dresden Dolls, Radiohead, Shakira, Roy Orbison, Weezer.
A Room with A View - I think this movie is the zenith of romance.
Other favorite titles: All About Eve, Amelie, An American In Paris, Before Sunrise, Being John Malkovich, Best in Show, The Big Lebowski, The "Bourne" films, The Business of Being Born, Easter Parade, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fried Green Tomatoes, Funny Girl, Gandhi, Goodbye Lenin, Good Will Hunting, The Graduate, Guys & Dolls, Holiday Inn, Il Postino (The Postman), Kundun, La Vie en Rose (aka La Mome), The Namesake, On the Town, Once, El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth), Paris, Je T'aime, The Piano, Pricilla Queen of the Desert, The Producers, Pulp Fiction, The Queen, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Lola Rennt (Run, Lola, Run), Salaam Bombay, The Science of Sleep, Secretary, The Shining, The Sound of Music, This Film is Not Yet Rated, Valetin, Waiting For Guffman, West Side Store, What Dreams May Come, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Une femme est une femme (A Woman is a Woman)

Currently Reading: Sexual Personae by Camille Paglia and You: The Owner's Manual (and loving both of them)
I don't watch T.V. much mostly because it's infested with "reality" shows that showcase mediocre examples of humanity and commercials have become so insidiously banal that I if I do watch T.V. I have to mute through them.
However, there are some television shows that rise to the occasion (which I usually watch via iTunes). I enjoy: The Office, Carnivale (r.i.p. - such a good show!), History Channel programs, Flight of the Conchords, 30 Rock
