About Me

I am a stay at home wife, mother and grandmother. My husband recently retired, and I am trying to "cope" with him being home all the time. Troy, MO is where I call home, now, but my heart is back in WI where my daughter and her family are living. I call myself a landlocked beach bum. I love palm trees and flamingos.

My favorite season is Summer, for that is when I get to spend some time with my grandkids, as their parents are generous enough to let me have them for a whole month. Spring is second, because that is when the garden is coming back to life.

Christmas is my favorite holiday, although Halloween is fun, too.

Hobbies

Collecting recipes (easy, slow cooker, desserts, well anything actually), cooking, card making, reading,and sewing are a few of the things I enjoy. Gardening is a joy, although I am not sure just how green my thumb is.

Favorite Crafts

Cardmaking is my favorite craft. Scrapbooking is a very close second. I really like all kinds of papers, the more unusal the better, embellisments, and stickers. I dabble in crochet. Enjoy sewing for my grandkids. Plastic canvas is fun, too.

Favorite Music

I like all kinds of music, except rap. I am a "card carrying" Parrot Head.

Favorite Books

Never met a good book that I didn't read. I have eclectic taste in reading, too. Mysteries, romance, and biographies. J. D. Robb, Fern Michaels, Lisa Jackson, James Patterson, and Heather Graham are a few of my favorites.

Favorite Television

TV is a favorite pastime. Right now, I am watching, The Closer, Saving Grace, Law and Order CI, Two and a Half Men, Life, American's Next Top Model. My daughter laughs at me because I enjoy The Hills and Gossip Girl, she says that she can't believe that I like those "teeny bopper" shows. My husband laughs at me for watching, The Girls Next Door.

Favorite Movies

Don't get out to the theater to often, but do watch DVD's. I am a horror movie fan. The last movie I watched was Transformers with my son and his wife.

About Me

I am not a smoker, but I live with a smoker. Just thought that you would want to know.

Oh what to SAY! You are so sweet and I am so very touched by the generous package you sent my daughter!

I didn't tell her about the Daughters are Special swap because I didn't want her to be disappointed, which was good because she was flaked. And here you step up to angel for this is just so sweet and touching. If I get flaked on it's easier to take but it's just crushing when she's flaked on.
