About Me

Hi! I’m Jennifer, 48 years young, and I live in beautiful Seattle, Washington. I’m a lifelong lover of paper, hand written letters, and making things, and lately I’ve fallen completely down the junk journaling, Sisterhood of the Traveling Journal (SOTTJ), and happy mail rabbit hole.

I’m married with two kids and a dog. When I’m not working or crafting, I’m usually doing something with my family & friends, planning our next adventure, drinking coffee, or convincing myself that I definitely need that one more craft supply.

I love living in the Pacific Northwest and being surrounded by water, mountains, trees, and so much green. I also love to travel and discover new places, especially charming little towns, local shops, coffee shops, markets, and places that feel unique to wherever I’m visiting.

For My Journals

I especially love receiving things I can actually use in my journals: interesting scraps of paper, stickers, tags, vintage or vintage-inspired ephemera, little envelopes, book pages, postcards, handmade pieces, washi samples, and other little treasures.

I love things with texture, layers, pockets, flaps, tags, and interactive elements. Handmade is always welcome! I love seeing someone else’s creativity and style, and things definitely do not need to be perfect.

I also love things that have a little story behind them. A ticket, paper from a local shop, a postcard from your hometown, a funny sticker you found somewhere, or something you made yourself can be much more fun to me than a bunch of brand-new supplies.

A Few More Favorites

I’m a big coffee drinker and always love hearing about favorite coffee shops or local roasters.

I love traveling and would be delighted by something that represents where you live or somewhere you love.

And I LOVE surprises. If you find something quirky, whimsical, funny, beautiful, or completely unexpected and think, “Jen might like this,” you’re probably right. 💗

Why I’m Here

I joined Swap-bot because I love the idea of sending a little joy through the mail and connecting with other creative people. There’s something really fun about putting together an envelope for someone you’ve never met and imagining them opening it on the other side.
