I'm new here so please bear with me as I get used to the ins and outs of this site! Also, I got a kind email from one of my partners in a swap to tell me that it hadn't arrived and I immediately put together another one to send out. I am 42 years old, single, Canadian and work in a bookstore. This is a perfect job for me because I LOVE books! I own a ton and just got an ereader so I have another 50-60 there! I'm always looking for recommendations so feel free to suggest an author to me. I read everything except horror or romance-heavy books.

I love to write letters, watch figure skating, hockey and other sports, follow the news and politics, OD on TV shows like White Collar, Person of Interest & Homeland, go for coffee with family and friends and spoil my niece and nephew.

I mostly listen to songs from my growing up years - I was heavily into Christian music back then and even though I've left that lifestyle behind, the familiar tunes are comforting!

Love mysteries, political science, history, teen books, biographies, contemporary fiction and journals. Favourite authors are Frederick Buechner, Philip Yancey, Jan Karon, Linda Nichols, Jamie Langston Turner, Torey Hayden, Michael Grant, Sarah Desson, Bob Woodward, Brian McLaren, Jonathan Alter and Elizabeth George.
