I am a stay-at-home mom of three. I currently home school my 3 children from 3rd grade up thru 11th. I have an art degree and do murals for people as well as other custom work. I have a passion for letters. Weird, maybe? I love lettering and the way people create different prints/lettering/type. My friend told me about this site thinking I would enjoy some of the art aspects of it. I have no allergies if there was ever food swapping. Not a big fan of cauliflower but I'd probably be a little suspicious if someone sent me some cauliflower anyway!:)
I love music. Some of my favorite types of music are christain, alternative, Irish, & folk. I also love hearing my son play his acoustic off an on thru out the day.
My favorite books run along the lines of christain literature/fiction/etc... I love things by Francine Rivers, Randy Alcorn and some by Frank Peretti. Of course the Bible is my primary source of guidance for life.
Favorite movies tend to be romantic comedies. I love P.S. I Love You, Pride and Prejuidice (both versions) - also action/fantasy - Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings etc...
We don't watch television for the most part. When I did I loved What Not To Wear and Project Runway
I enjoy (though rarely have) time to create art. I often to do custom names for people which combines my love for lettering with illustration. I have murals in my house and have completed several for customers. As I home school now, I haven't been taking on many jobs. I have an interest in textile art as well. I love the retro and shabby shek look. I love a rich variety of colors though I would have to say my favorite are the burnt reds/oranges, olives and khaki - along those lines. I guess I'm not so much into watery pastels. Then again, it depends on the picture. I tend to be drawn to more art things not so much crafty hearts etc...
So that's basically it - I'm very involved with my kids with our day to day life of school and activities and thought this might be a neat way to be able to create and see what others are creating. Looking forward to swapping with you!
