*************NOTE************
I recently lost my job : ( I am looking for another. I will notify all of you but I am going to be late with many of my swaps. This is so embarrassing!
Paper artist/writer - living in MN single mother to 3 but only 1 remains in the nest! work full time & attend college full time - so life is busy. In addition to arts & crafts, I LOVE to write - always have - journal daily, penpals & letters, etc. Read like a madwoman - 167 books in 2006 (goal was 200) I love ethnic foods (especially spicy ones!!!) Goals in '07 MAKE MORE ART!! joining swap bot helps me keep working on that goal
Please identify on the envelope the swap name and your swapbot name!! I detest the wait for the rating and like to notify the sender that I received their pkg safely. Sometimes I cannot decipher who the sender is because their screen name gives NO clue! thanks : )
I know I'm WAY behind the times, but I do not own a scanner or digital camera, so I am unable to record the beautiful offerings I receive.
I keep a log for all my swaps, so that when time to rate comes along I'm prepared.
I always follow thru with my swaps - if something is late PLEASE contact me asap!! I will send a replacement. Generally I start my project as soon as I sign up (unless the swap requires I tailor it to my partner specifically) I try to have it all ready to go when the partners are assigned. I take the swaps and my commitment very seriously and like 99.95% of my swap-bot colleagues participate in good faith. I love coming home to a mailbox chocked full of goodies!!
One last request of Hosts and Hostesses: If you change the swap mid-signup, could you please notify the signees of the changes? And notify BEFORE the drop date? I speak from experience here. This happened to me on one that started out as a one-time swap and morphed into a round robin that had me mailing many, many books to Europe. This was much more expensive than I originally anticipated.
classic rock (showin' my age!) particularily the Beatles!!, classical, and showtunes - Oh, and I love Gershwin and just about anything put out on Putamayo! My all time favorite song is the Beatles' Long and Winding Road.
I find I'm listening to NPR more these days than music channels. Previously I was a lobbyist for a statewide non-profit organization. There's still a bit of a political junkie in my dna.
I don't have much free time to get to see a lot of movies : ( I love the old, old classic b&w's. I do try to go watch the chick flicks with my 15 year old daughter! It is one of our "bonding" activities!
just about anything on HGTV, DIY network, TLC & Discovery! I'm not really "hooked" on any regular shows - I enjoy CSI & Criminal Minds.
I don't get into reality shows. I did like the first year of Last comic Standing. I also love the comedy improv shows like Who's LIne and Thank God You're Here. I'm always up for a good belly laugh!
love to do all sorts of arts & crafts from polymer clay, handmade books to knitting, sewing, and needlepoint. most prolific in paper-related activities. Love metals, wood, metallic colors - definately not into "cute" or Hello Kitty, Disney, etc

Hi, just wondering if you have my journal from the round-robin swap. If so, please send it back to me. I'd be glad to send you postage, if necessary.
Hi I was wondering if you have my altered book "Unicorns"? Thanks, Mandy
Hi Jeanne, I had you for a partner for the Nostalgic Home Sweet Home Pen Pal Swap and I was just wondering what happened. I never received anything from you.
