During the week I spend my time at my career as a Federal Government worker in Washington DC. I live in Fredericksburg, VA (USA) which is 50 miles south of where I work. Fredericksburg is a very historic town and thus my love for history.
In my spare time I love to shop for fabrics, old vintage laces, buttons and quilt patterns. I love to find old quilt blocks and old patterns. I love the shabby chic colors and the colors of the 30's and 40's quilts. I love old quilting patterns, old crochet patterns, floral fabric and fabric in general. In the last year and a half I have rekindled my passion for yarn. I have become an obsessed sock knitter. I love all colors of yarn. I think pinks and purples have become my favorite. But I also love any color except orange. Only for pumpkins or pumpkin socks. LOL Any old lace and vintage doilies facinate me. I love chocolate but dark chocolate is my favorite, Seattle's Best coffee, and butter cookies. Paper doilies, vintage looking victorian stickers, fresia body spray, and anything that looks vintage makes me smile. I love small books, journals, small change purses and any small sewing item such as pin cushions or needle holders.
I have one daughter and she has blessed me with the sweetest and most adorable grandson! He is ten and we have loads of fun.
I do not care for cutsie things, such as cartoon charaters or country frills.
I recently started my heatlhy life style and since sweets are my weekness ...please only one dark chocolate bar at a time...=o(...but I am okay with that.
Just about any type of music, but the early 60's groups are my favorite...mainly MOTOWN and some current country singers.
My all time favorite movies are Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes and Driving Miss Daisy.
I love mysteries and thus I love the Cop shows. HGTV and any Cooking show keeps me entertained.
Quilting and knitting are my very favorite pass times. I dabble some in ATCs and Altered books.
