Hi fellow swappers! It is a pleasure to meet you,and as I am a complete newbie, I am very eager to learn new stuffs on how to make full use of this social site. I REALLY hope that I can make friends - that's my most important mission here.
I come from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but am currently undergoing my undergraduate medical studies in Moscow,Russia. Being away from home in an absolutely different country with distinctively different culture and language, I am very used to mix with people of different ethnic, cultural and geographical backgrounds. I love meeting new people, having great conversations and hanging out with them,if there is any chance. Believe me, I won't ignore your message,so write to me, I will definitely answer you! and do not be shy!!
Feel free to add me on facebook, my facebook name is Ilyas Abdul Rahim. But don't expect that I use my facebook regularly, I prefer VK (www.VK.com), a Russian social site, much like facebook.
I love folk songs so much, besides pop and wide array of music genres. I can't really specify because I am a universal listener...I can listen to any song that sounds good to me,regardless of artist or composer. But here are the singers/bands that I particularly like:
Westlife - Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Siti Nurhaliza (from Malaysia) - Dewa 19 - Ratu (and some other Indonesian bands like Ungu etc) - Yulia Savicheva - Maksim (Russian singers).
I love reading best-selling novels written by famous authors like Dan Brown (Da Vinci Code,Angels & Demons, the Lost Symbol...etc...I actually read ALL of them),Sidney Sheldon, Stephenie Meyer (Twilight saga) and a gifted Malaysian writer, Faisal Tehrani.
History, medic and linguistic (more specifically, the Russian and German languages) books are also of my interest. I am currently learning German and a TeachYourselfBook German book+CD set really helps.
Keychains, fridge magnets (ESPECIALLY those made from ceramic),postcards and even T-shirts from around the world, with significant designation of the particular country, are really appreciated. Whenever I travel abroad, I always find these stuffs for myself, family and friends.
Some cool and unique souvenirs like soft toys can be nice, too.
