Life has gotten the better of me in the last month or so - things have been extremely hectic. Big ballroom competition to plan and a few others to work at amongst other things. So a lot of long hours and traveling.

I'll be catching up with all my ratings and any late items to be sent in the next week or so. Thank you to everyone for being so wonderful and patient with me.

Hopefully life goes back to normal soon.

I'm Haley! I'm a 20 something year old trying to figure out how to be an adult...

Currently I work as an event planner and instructor at a ballroom dance studio in the Boston area.

Outside of work I dance more for fun! I also enjoy reading and audiobooks, listening to music, and watching movies/TV shows.

I dislike choosing favorites as a general rule... but here are some things I like!

• Colors: shades of teal, greens, and purple
• Inspirational quotes and messages
• Cats
• Other cute animals!
• Office Supplies
• Some sports - I'm learning them! I've become a fairly decent football fan over the past few years. And I've always been a hockey fan. Probably other sports may follow.
• Pictures!
• Blankets
• Warm Socks
• Tea
• Soup

I'm not too picky about many things...but here are some things that I'm not a fan of.

• Bugs
• Being too cold or too hot
• Headaches
• Mornings

I also would not generally want items of an overly religious nature. I accept other people and their religions and would like people to show the same respect for me.

When it comes to movies I'll watch pretty much anything except for horror - not really into the scary things.

I have a hard time keeping up with shows on TV because my job hours are so strange and late. But I like being able to watch things online.

I just recently started watching Marvel's Agents of Shield and Almost Human and so far I like them.

This one is really really difficult... I love so many books... I have a small library in my room at home. I also have been developing a large audiobook collection following a bad concussion that I got back in the fall of 2012 which really messed up my ability to read. I'm starting to be able to read for longer these days but I've mostly gone back to really simple young adult type books for the moment.

I have some old stand-by books that I will read (or listen to) over and over:

• Harry Potter (I've listened to these audiobooks so many times that I have some sections of them mostly memorized by now)
• Most things by Tamora Pierce
• Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith
• Ella Enchanted

I used to do a lot of art back in high school but I sort of lost track of that back while completing my science major in college. So! Now I'd like to get back in touch with my crafty side through this site.
