I am a 21 year old college student working my towards a nursing degree in the Hudson Valley. I currently live at home with my parents, but am super excited to be getting a place of my own with my long term boyfriend and all of my fish. I believe in having fun and being happy, and helping others do the same.
Keep reading below to get to know me a little better! I know it is a lot to take in all at once so if you do not feel like or do not have the time to read it all: please just scroll to the bottom where you can look at generic lists of my likes, dislikes, hobbies, etc.
I cannot wait to meet the rest of the Swap Bot community and hopefully make some great new friends from all over the world.
PLEASE NOTE, I HAVE A SECTION AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF MY PROFILE DEDICATED TO ANY ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM ME TO ALL OF YOU. This is just in case I'll be away for a few days and unable to rate swaps I receive right away. Or just in case I go into a temporary swap break because of school of anything like that. I think communication and trust is very important in Swaps and I want everyone to know what's going on so that no one has a fear of me flaking on them.
I am interested in a wide array of crafts. At any given time I am working on my junk journal, Happy Planner, Polaroid album, and recipe binder.
My junk journal is dedicated to memories that my long term boyfriend and I have experienced together as a couple as well as with our friends and family.
I only recently started getting involved in the planner community and decided to get a Happy Planner and it was one of my best decisions. As a college student who also works it is a great way for me to keep track of everything while being able to bring some creativity and happiness to my day.
Since I was younger I have always been obsessed with taking photographs of everything I see with any kind of camera I can get my hands on. I have had various Polaroid cameras and digital cameras over the years. For the past year I have invested a lot of time and money into my Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 camera creating my newest project, "A Year in My Life: A Story Through Polaroids." Although I will admit, the title is still a work in progress.
My recipe binder is pretty self explanatory. It is just a binder where I keep recipes I like or want to try out. It holds recipe cards as well as recipes I have handwritten or typed, and those that I've ripped out of magazines.
Other crafts I enjoy include DIY projects that are functional or decorative for the various holidays and occasions throughout the year. I am looking to move out on my own soon and as a result I have been stocking up on cute craft supplies to decorate my new apartment with.
Now that I have been getting into the swing of things here on Swap Bot I have been trying to brainstorm some ideas on how to collect all the beautiful things I receive.I am thinking of making a junk journal or special binder dedicated to everything I receive in the mail.
I love art, for more information on that topic please read the section of my profile titled "Favorite Crafts."
I have been very fortunate enough that education has always been a very big and important part of my life. As a result, I love to learn and genuinely enjoy school. My favorite subjects include history and science. Here are a few of my favorite topics within each:
I enjoy staying active and trying to lead a better, healthier life. I am not perfect and know I need to exercise more often and stay better hydrated, so I love finding new ways to improve those things. Ultimately, apart from going to the gym, I stay active by riding my bike, skateboarding, going for walks, enjoying hikes, and dancing. I recently took ballet back up for the first time since I was younger, and pairing that with some yoga here and there I am very proud of the improvements I am seeing. I try to be body positive towards myself and help others do the same.
I live in a wonderful area where we have a lot of state parks and other similar areas. I really enjoy getting outside and exploring the mountains, woods, and various waterfront areas that the Hudson Valley has to offer. I have not been camping for a little while, but am hoping to get back into it soon.
Being a broke college student I really only get the chance to explore my area, but traveling and exploring is always on the top of all of my bucket and wish type lists. I enjoy searching Pinterest for travel planning boards and pins, and I love reading travel books and magazines. When I do get the opportunity to go somewhere (even if it is just a day or weekend trip), I always do lots of research and planning because I love to learn about different people and places.
I enjoy reading (more on that below) and writing. I do not write as much as I used to in the past, but I am hoping that through a few swaps that will change and it will spark that inner author in me again.
Before I switched to the nursing program I really was interested in opening a restaurant, so any chance I get to experiment in the kitchen or try out a new recipe, I take it. Please read my "Likes and Dislikes" section for my food allergies/sensitivities. While food is a really big part of my life, unfortunately I have spent the past couple of years struggling with stomach problems.
I am definitely not your typical quote on quote "girly girl," but I do love to mess around with and talk about makeup. I am currently a subscriber to Ipsy, and am addicted to Ulta. Yet on the other hand, I love getting dirty and working on cars. I have a cute little EP3 that goes by the name "Chubby" who I spend a lot of time working on and bringing to car shows.
I love all things Disney and am constantly dreaming about the next time I will be able to go to Disney World or maybe even one day check out Disney Land.
I am a big reader of both fiction and nonfiction. My absolute favorite books are fictional works that take place in or include fantasy or fairytale realms and creatures. My all time favorites include the Harry Potter series amongst others like The Mortal Instruments and The Land of Stories. I hope to one day have my own mini library in my house when I get older. As someone who loves to learn and is interested in science and history I also enjoy reading books pertaining to those categories. Often times I actually find myself enjoying reading my textbooks for school. I also enjoy travel and vacation books. Depending on my mood I also enjoy poetry.
One of my favorite lazy day activities or ways to wind down is through binge watching Netflix or other TV shows. My all time favorites are Doctor Who, Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy, and Once Upon a Time. There are a lot of great shows out there and it makes me feel like I'll never have enough time to watch them all, but if there's a show you love that you think I'll become obsessed with too, let me know! I always am in need of new recommendations to watch while I wait for the newest seasons of my favorites to hit Netflix.
Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my profile! I know it is A LOT, so I am truly sorry if I bored you. I will keep my "Likes and Dislikes" section as running lists so I can add to them as I go and as more things come to mind. Please let me know if there are any topics I didn't cover that most people include!

7/14/2017: I am officially caught up on all of my swaps from when I left for vacation. I am very very sorry that it took a tad bit longer than anticipated. As soon as I got back from vacation I had two days before my summer class started and it took a lot out of me. I'm taking Intro to Physiology in only a six week span so the material and expectations are definitely challenging. Luckily, we are two weeks in and I have worked out the kinks so I will be able to stay on top of my swap game. However, I will not be entering in as many swaps as I have been until the class is over just to make sure I do not put too much on my plate.

Hi there,
Please send any slambook you have home to it's owner. We have had 2 people leave swapbot, and it would be great to have any returned home at this point that may be floating around out there.
Thank you ma'am
