Favorite Crafts

I love sewings, scrapbooking, papercrafting and quilting.I have tried many different crafts. I have done jewelry making, papercrafts, scrapbooking, sewing, crochet, knitting, polymer clay and cake decorating. I have a cricut expression machine and quite a few cartridges.

Favorite Books

I love thrillers, autobiographies, biographies, childrens books and craft books.I also like magazines. I love to read so magazines give me the gratification of reading without the commitment of a book.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of a college freshman. I currently do not work, but when I was working I worked as a teacher for 16 years. I am currently taking classes to earn an HR degree and I am about 4 classes away from finishing. I have many interests and some of them are listed in the box above. I like to try new things too. I can sew just about anything, but I prefer sewing for children. I can also knit and crochet but just the basics. I joined swap-bot to expand my circle and meet new people.

Favorite Music

I love many different kinds of music. My tatstes are very eclectic. I do not pigeon hole myself into one genre, if I like it I buy it, I like R&B,Pop, Rock, Country and Rap. Some artists I like are Beyonce, Usher, Pink, Daniel Merriweather, Amy Winehouse,Macy Gary and Patsy Kline.

Favorite Movies

I like movies, but not as much as I used to. Movies have gotten too long for me and I find it difficult to sit through the whole thing. I prefer watching them at home so I can pause the movie and move around. I love thrillers and suspense. I also like some action and comedy. Some of my faves are Deuce Bigalow, any Tyler Perry Movie,The Road to Perdition, Boondock Saints and any gangster movie.

Favorite Television

I am a television junkie. I love television. I love anything crafty of course, but I also like watching nesw programs and true crime. I am a series girl, so I really get into series, especially the ones on cable. My faves now are Nurse Jackie, Dexter, Brotherhood, True Blood, The Office, It's always Sunny in Philadelphia, Sons of Anarchy, Justified and any of the Real Housewives.

Dislikes

I I have a long list of likes so here is a list of things I don't like: diecuts, travel stuff, animal stuff, flower stuff, kid stuff... to be continued...

Likes

I am really into sewing and papercrafting. When I say papercrafting I mean scrapbooking and making things out of paper like fancy cards, boxes, gift card holders etc. My favorite scrapbook items are made by Jenni Bowlin, Little Yellow Bicycle, We Are Memory Keepers, Bazzil, K and Company and Amy Butler. My fave sewing fabrics are Alexander Henry and Amy Butler. It's weird that I say I dont like flower items but I love Amy Butler. I like real flowers and Amy Butler flowers because they have a modern look to me, not so old fashioned. Anyway it's hard to describe so I just say I don't like them, because it has to be a certain design I suppose.

Comment: OMG! OMG! OMG! -- That's exactly what I couldn't stop saying. I have never received anything like this before. Soon as I pull the rip-cord, stuff started spilling out and my eyes got big and my mouth fell open and all I could say was OMG! Over and over and over again. I was doing relief coverage of the phones at work and one of my co-workers was up front talking to me. We both stoped in mid conversation. Me in awe of what was coming out of the envelope and she to tell me to calm down. We were both excited for me. All the stuff ... and not just stuff but GOOD stuff. Stuff I can so see myself using. Even she commented how I'd be able to use the things in my card and mini making. I sooooooo love everything. There's not one thing I not excited about. I know I'm probably rambling, but getting all these things was better than Christmas. Everything is top quality and packaged nicely. Oh, Gosh ... I'm shaking even as I type this. You really have no idea how special receiving this package is ... especially since I have been having some really lousy days lately. I'm grinning like a little kid with her 2 front teeth missing and not even caring. We need to revise this site to be able to give more than just 1 heart. Oh, yeah. I wonder if it would be proper to do a video on receiving something like this -- even though I've already opened. I often see other crafter do videos on RAKs (can this be considered a random act of kindness since we agreed to swap?) as well as the things the create and I actually bought a camera recently for that purpose (although I've never done one before). I'm sure that if I don't look into the package again until time to video, all of the initial excitement will still be there. Ok. I'm done. Demarys
Response: I am laughing out loud right now. I am so glad you like the package. I sent all of the things you like because that ensures that you will use the items. I wanted to send more but the post office was out of small priority mail boxes. Maybe we will hook up again in another swap. Enjoy!

I just re-read my comment. Boy, did I make a few typos. But, I couldn't help it. My hands were so shaking and my thoughts were so racing. If you could have heard me speak the words I was typing, you would have heard me stutter and my voice get high pitched and all that crazy stuff that happens when one gets really excited.

OMG (again) "you would have sent more" ... I'd have probably had to take the rest of the afternoon off after that! LOL Heck, I still haven't recouperated. Hahahahaha.

Thanks so much again.

I was reading your profiles and saw that you like Pink. I love, l-o-v-e, her song "Please don't leave me." When I'm in my craftroom and that song comes on the radio, I go crazy. I turn it up - high, and sing along - yelling at the top of my lungs just like she does. If my hands are free (or can be free)I start waving them around and bobbing my head up and down. Sometimes, I actually stop what I'm doing and start dancing to the beat. Then when the song stops, I stop - get back to "my kind of normal" and continue with the project at hand - all the while wishing they'd play it again. Hahahahaha I don't buy it because right now the song's "in my system" and if I had the ability to repeat play I'd never get anything done.

Any-who, just thought I'd share that tid-bit.
