I'm earthy, thrifty, crafty and I appreciate simplicity more than extravagance, both in my life and in the arts/crafts I enjoy.
I like earth tones, rich and subdued colors (I do not prefer neon, pastels or primaries).
Generally speaking I eat healthy, natural foods, however I love good coffee and I have an unfortunate chocolate addiction. I like to try unusual ciusine, cultural flavors and seasonings.
I'm community minded, and I truly love learning about other people, cultures and ways of living/being/thinking. The Cittaslow and Slow Food movements are part of my idealogy. I use locally produced food and products whenever possible.
I'd love to move abroad and experience a way of life that's different than what I've known. I would move to Italy (Tuscany!) in a heartbeat!
Random things I love: keys/locks, natural fibers and textiles, boxes, reusable gift/shopping bags, ecological stewardship, journals, teacups, pitchers, spiritual icons, stationery, japanese culture and decor (even cartoon characters, which goes against the general rules of simplicity and subdued colors, but it's a good exception), heirloom seeds, baking (cupcakes!), magical and mystical things, handmade/home made gifts, new music, embroidery patterns, vintage clothing, buttons, sealing wax, ravens and crows, silver jewelry, amish crafts, earthy candles/incense...I'll add more as they occur to me!
I want to hear the music YOU listen to! I'm always on the hunt for something new and inspiring.
I lean toward ambient sounds and away from chaotic or overly agressive music. I love new age tunes, piano music, world music (thought not reggae), chill, and I really enjoy praise music.
Some life long favorites: Peter Gabriel, Annie Lennox, Ryan Adams.
I like to knit, crochet, sew, paint with acryllics, draw (pen and ink), cut paper, cook (recipes!), bake bread, write and embroider.
I'd love to receive whatever it is you're good at doing and love to do!

Karis, I just received two envelopes returned as "not deliverable as addressed" (Embroidery Part 1 and Part 2) - are you still out there? Looks like you haven't logged in for awhile. Let me know how I could get them to you.
