As a textile designer I'm in contact with some of the best fabric houses in fashion and try to up-cycle as much of it as I possibly can through my shop. Lately you can find me doing a bit of needlework (embroidery cross stitch or mix media), reading or sorting fabric.

Historical biographies, historical fiction. Lets not forget Harry Potter. Chronicles of Narnia the Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe James & the Giant Peach Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. Love the classics too. Dickens. Oscar Wilde. Every good story teller deserves a read.

War of the Buttons. Secrets of Roan Innish. Lord of the Rings trilogy, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, Tim Burton, Merchant & Ivory, Sofia Coppola. Suspense & Action. 60's film noir. Comedy that makes me laugh out loud but not the sophomoric. British comedy. Inbetweeners. Ricky Gervais. Cate Blanchett Kate Winslet Daniel Day Lewis Johnny Depp Alan Rickman and many more.

When I can I mostly watch BBC America, BBC World News, PBS Masterpiece Theater, Mystery, Nature, Rosemary & Thyme. Discover, History International. Law & Order (all) even in other languages (bet you didn't know Lenny spoke French!). Favorite indulgence Project Runway but its getting old. When is Isaac coming back to Bravo? Launch My Line? Love d-squared!

I'm more into the needle arts these days… embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint when I have time. Love mixed media and art quilting too. My shop's my craft now - I live vicariously through my customers:-) I'm inspired by ephemera of all sorts including buttons glass beads ribbons trims threads floss fiber papers wallpapers old pics: vintage and new. Vintage needle work. Victoriana. Mexican folklorico. I'm also attracted to indigenous crafts from around the world.

Anything reeking of smoke. Food Stuff (unless its imagery or herbal). Corporate character stuff like Disney Scooby Doo et al.
