I want to apologize to everyone who has received late swaps, undecorated swaps and swap with no extras. My husband has had health issues over the last month and it finally resulted in him begging to go to the emergency room 7 days ago. He has had a lot of pain. I have tried hard to keep up with him, work, and swaps all at the same time. I have run behind on all of the above. We just came home from the hospital today and I will get everything caught up, including rating. I have done some of the writing swaps from the hospital thus no or little decoration or extras. My friend was sweet enough to come by here and feed my kitty and throw a few things in a bag for me. You work with what you get. I was working on one swap when he needed to go and I just left and I find I have one very dried up stamp pad. I forgot to close it. Please forgive me and give me a couple of days or so to catch up. If you are a person who prays please pray for us, this isn't over yet. I'm holding faith that we will walk into the doctor's office Friday and she will say "It was just a tumor, No Cancer." Everyone of you will hear me singing God's praises. You will know it's me because I can't sing worth a darn. LOL! I love and appreciate all the friends I have made on Swap- bot. I think swapping will help keep me sane as we move along here.
11/10/16 I will be out of town from Friday afternoon(11/11) til Sunday afternoon (11/13) for a church retreat. I will answer any messages when I return. Thanks.
I want to let everyone know that I have not flaked on any swaps. I had a lot going on with my family and had to be out of town for a time, When I got back I messaged a few people that I was back on course then I got hit with a bout of arthritis. Thank God for pain pills - I'm able to move again. I think it was because of dealing with 4 little ones for a week. I have completed a few things that I plan to mail out today. Just know that if I owe you a swap you will get it. I have never gotten this far behind before and I will get caught up. Thank you all for your patience with me.
I'm 60 years old, newly retired from 20 years with Walmart. I now work part time for Lifeway Christian Stores. I have been married to my wonderful Hubby for 35 years this year. We never had any children of our own but we helped raise my little sister who was only 3 when our mother passed away. She now has 6 children and 2 step children ranging in age from 23 down to 6 years old. You know the saying "If I had known grandkids were so much fun I would have had them first" Well, we did that. I love them all (even the ones who are now taller than me and make fun of me because of it). They are just like our own. I love all types of crafts and hobbies. I love all colors but the greatest of all of course is purple. Scrapbooking, book making, journaling and paper crafts seem to be what I've been working on most lately. I also started quilting in 1998. I love swapping with others. I love snail mail. I do not have a URL or website. I guess I need to find out what that is. Please e-mail me with any other information that you need.
I like most all types of music. I listen mostly to contemporary christian and southern gospel. I also like country and rock oldies. The only things I really do not like is hip hop/rap and jazz.
Again, I like some of all types of books. Most of the books I have read lately are fiction books set in biblical times. I also like: Debbie Macomber, Nora Roberts, Earlene Fowler, Robin Carr, Sheryl Woods, Mary Higgins Clark, And Nicolas Sparks.
There's too many to list here but some of my favorites are Sound of Music, Paint Your Wagon, Fiddler On The Roof, Independence Day, Star Wars, The Indiana Jones movies, Air Force One, (yes, I do like Harrison Ford) and several John Wayne movies just to name a few. We watched "God's Not Dead" last night and it was really good.
Castle, Forever, Blue Bloods, Elementary, Dancing With The Stars, Duck Dynasty, Storage Wars, and American Idol.
Quilting, Embroidery, Scrapbook/journal making, Paper Crafts, Jewelry Making, Photography and I'm working on learning to do more artsy things. I'm not a true artist but I have been playing with the art journaling, zentangle/doodling crafts lately.I'm getting pretty good at drawing things that do not need to be identified as a object. When I need specific shapes, stamps and stencils are my friends. I also like to look for things that can be used in ways other than their original purpose. Example: I found a cell phone case with an interesting cutout design and I bought it for a stencil. I make angels out of the net bath puffs on a string. Things like that. A challenge for the brain.
Purple is the #1 color in my opinion but I like all colors. In fabrics I tend to gravitate towards blues as my second choice. I'm not sure why unless it's because it is my Hubby's favorite. Lately I'm drawn to bright colors- oranges, yellows, bright greens, teals, etc. I like all shades from pastels to jewel tones. Really the only color I do not like is gold. I'm not referring to metallic gold but the golds that are just beyond mustard to baby poo.I just can't stand them.
Fabrics, Quilting and sewing supplies and patterns, Papers (colored, patterned, embossed, specialty, you name it.) I love anything paper. Paper clips, Brads, Postcards, Ephemera, Interesting cutouts from magazines, Die cuts, Tags, Beads, Buttons, Laces, Trims, Jewelry supplies, Bracelets (even the plastic ones), Washi tape. Stamps, Stencils, used Postage stamps, Pens, Pencils, Markers, Colors, Paints, Glues, Books, both for reading and for crafting with, Bookmarks, Threads, Flosses, Unique fibers, and Specialty yarns, Chocolate.
I'm trying to convince Hubby that I need an Office Depot for my birthday and a Hobby Lobby for Christmas. He's trying to win the lottery for me.
Angels, Butterflies, Teapots and cup and saucer sets, Lighthouses.
Scented items (allergies), Body sprays and lotions, bath products, (Again, allergies), Coffees and Teas, (Diet Coke is my addiction) Mint candy.

Hey, I have decided not to message you about the Dollar Tree Stocking Swap since it will go unread and this is a common issue with communicating with you as it seems. I am leaving my rating as a 1 as I have yet to receive anything and the "update" you provided hasn't changed in over 3 weeks. If I happen to receive anything (which I highly doubt), I will hesitantly change my rating to a 3. Very disappointing.
Thank you for joining the swap that I am hosting! Congratulations for being on the nice list! Merry Christmas!

Thanks for swapping! Enjoy the Ernie PCs.
Hi! I am your partner for the Letter, Bookmark and Tea swap! I just saw that you list tea as something you don't want to receive, so I am just wanting to reach out and see how to best fufill this swap so that it's not something you don't want but also meets the rules! Is there only specific teas you need to avoid or any that you enjoy? I can't promise i have it, but if I do have something you could use or like...I would love to make sure before I send it!
