My name is Katrina, I'm currently 29 and I live in Miami. I'm an artist and just recently opened up my own store called eclectica. I sell "salvaged furniture and accessories for the savvy decorator on a budget." Basically: cool vintage and secondhand stuff that people might like for their homes, but don't confuse it with a thrift store! I revamp the furniture to make it new and probably better than it was to begin with. Too many people discard things thinking the item has seen it's last day. Wake up and smell the potential, people! I also make some of what you see in the store as well: handmade cards, collage, fabric wall art, throw pillows, mosaics. That's me....most of my time is dedicated to something relating to the store.

Dislikes: southwestern design, country music, black licorice, bleu cheese, hospitals

I have a degree in fine art with a focus on mixed media/installation art. Now that I can do whatever I want....I dabble in most anything/everything. I think most crafty people have this problem: you are constantly bombarded with new ideas and inspiration and tend to jump from one medium to the next just to try that new technique or color scheme. Someone I met recently got it right on the nose when she told me that she has craft A.D.D, but I won't name any names! If I must mention a few....stamping/collage/assemblage, altering objects, handmade cards/invitations, decoupage, mosaic.
