UPDATE - Sept. 6th 2013
I'm going to take a little break from Swap-bot, maybe joining some random or private swaps sometime, but decided to take a little hiatus from every week swapping. Mainly because I have my hands full with the new baby â¤â¤â¤ And also started with my Christmas projects, handmade gifts ONLY... so my knitting/crochet basket is kinda full by the moment and... this week we bought an old Vespa. So I want to use most of my hobby money on restoration for it :-)
Send me a message if you need to take contact, I'll answer as soon as I can.
Have a nice day! â¤
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Hello! My name is Corina, I’m almost 30 y.o. and live in a little village of Norway. I’m luckily married with the love of my life and we are expecting our first child on August 2013!!
I work at a furniture and decoration store and love everything about it. On my free time I like knitting, doing crochet, sewing, collecting 80’s toys, reading, going for a walk, nature, canoe paddling, working on my garden, reading interior magazines, hanging with friends, enjoy music and watching movies or TV. I am also very active and involved on my labor union, respecting workers rights is very important to me.
Things I like to swap/receive:
Vintage: Mostly papers, die-cuts, postcards, ribbons, scrapbook and journaling material with pictures of: Babies/children, Dolls/toys, Pretty animals, Wedding related, Birds, Flowers. Not much into angels and faeries but is OK.
The 50's / 60's: Rockabilly stuff, Housewife/girly style, 50's ads from magazines. Not that much into the 70’s groovy movement.
Toys related: I am an avid collectors of 80’s toys! Mostly cartoon related, like strawberry shortcake, My Little Pony, Care Bears, MOTU, Thundercats, MASK. I also collect some 90’s toys, specially Polly Pocket. Basically I love anything to do with any of the toys from this lists ☺
Nature: I love anything forest related, from colors, imagery or even camping tips!
About Kawaii: I used to be a big collector but when I moved to Norway I lost "all" my kawaii treasures. I'm not interested on starting a huge collection again, but I still love Kawaii stuff, so that means I'm more than happy to receive kawaii theme swaps or some extras like loose stickers and memo sheets. I like all brands and characters (Kamio, Crux, Q-lia, Mindwave, etc.), but not loving Sanrio characters that much. By Kawaii I don't mean "manga-anime" related items, in doubt check this guide: here ^^
About Shabby Chic: I really like romantic and shabby chic style. I would like to receive in this theme: ribbons, paper material, beads, frills, wings, pipe cleaners, a bit of glitter, flowers, etc.
About styles and aesthetics: I like many different styles, from simple scandinavian, to quirky vintage, from shabby chic to rackabilly! I think it all depends on the swap... If sometime you are in doubt about which direction to take just drops me a line! But mainly I will receive any swap with a smile.
Colors: I'm not that picky about this...I think it also depends on the swap. If I have to say some colors would be: light pink, light blue, beige, grey, white. As long you keep yourself away of ugly combinations is ok :P
About Beads: I just use beads on paper projects or as decoration on my dolls, toys and teddies. So don't send me jewellery related stuff (I'm not gonna use it)
About Food: I'm not interesested on receiving food products/recipes. But I will occasionally sign up for tea/coffee and some candy swaps. I like flavors like: vanilla, forest fruits, coffee and chocolate!
Crochet and knitting: I like granny squares, vintage patterns, amigurumi, dolls, baby patterns, tips about cool knitting websites or yarn stores on the net. My favorite knitting shop/blog is Pickles ☺ And my Ravelry username is: corynvall
For Granny Square swaps: I'm planning on starting an afghan with all granny squares I receive from swaps :)
Yarn quality: It doesn't matter that much to me. But I will prefer medium yarns (DK yarns) and worsted are also welcome. Not interested on bulky/super bulky, novelty yarns or boucle yarns. Machine washable is not important.
Pattern: traditional and non traditional granny squares and pattern swatches are welcome! Monochromatic, solid color or mixed colors - your choice. I prefer crocheted squares, not so interested on knitted ones for this afghan, but everything is welcome with a smile.
Colors: I would like to see squares in some of the following colors (in no particular order). Bold nice colors that make me happy :-)
Things I'm NOT interest on: Disney, Diddle, religion in general, groovy things, Friendship Books.
I take pride on my ratings and compromise to always leave feedback after a swap, of course I expect the same from my partners. Have a nice day!
