Hi my given name is Deirdre but you can refer to me as DeeDee.
I enjoy sewing, attending Estate sales, flea markets and antique stores.
I am currently collecting books (mostly First Edition), buttons, milk glass and china. I have recently begun viewing youtube videos and gaining ideas on decorating my home affordably.
Some of my favorite all time movies are: Easter Parade with Judy Garland, Raiders of the Lost Ark series, Back to the Future series and the Notebook among many others.
I have been recently reading the series of books by Sherryl Woods about the Steel Magnolias--a free acquisition from an Estate Sale.
I love anything Disney. I currently have a few bendable small statues on my desk that look like the older Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I also bought then regifted a backpack which was a Mickey Mouse head...really cute but it was meant for a toddler.
I am building up my sticker and paper stash so I can already have stuff on-hand for swaps and to regift to my 7 great nieces.
I love planners and started out with one from Michaels but it's too heavy to carry back and forth so I mostly use it at home. My second planner was purchased at Staples, they have a little 3-ring notebook covered in plastic that is affordable and I use only for craft-related pursuits like Estate Sales, Sewing, bookfairs and Flea Markets. My third planner by Paper Source brand is an A5 size from Hobby Lobby--I have one in turquoise and the other is a silver iridescent cover. I gifted two of my pre-teen nieces their own A5 size planner this Christmas and will probably give them some inserts from etsy for their planners. I also have a Classic size planner from Joann fabrics is a Happy Planner they intended for crafts. I've been using this strictly for my sewing projects to plan in there. I just love the colors and the paper they use is lightweight. Haven't yet invested in an Erin Condren but probably will eventually.
I look forward to participating in this swap.
