I'm a married 67 year old mom of two kids. Both are adopted from Korea. Neither are married. I recently celebrated my 41st anniversary with my husband, Phil.
I love knitting and I always have several projects going at the same time. I tend to use primary colors for my projects. I have a stash of yarn that I keep in my linen closet! OH, If my husband only knew! Ha. Ha.
I have a part-time job at Lowe's Home Improvement. When I'm not working on knitting projects, I'm working around the house.
I watch GMA in the mornings, FOX news, Food Network, Discovery. I do knit and watch as long as my stitches aren't real complicated. Ha, ha. I know this may sound cheezy but I do watch reality TV. I love Dancing with the Stars, and American Idol. We have so many talented individuals in this amazing country.
My favorite scent is vanilla. I have candles with this scent all over the house. I love to go into Bath & Body and check out the latest fragrances. Their bath gels are simply the greatest.
I also love cats. I have a large collection of "Cat's Meow" houses and accessories. They are all above my door frames. They really are great - especially the early ones from the 80's signed by Faline. I have just one cat at this time. His name is Preston.
I drink tea/chai. I had to quit drinking coffee when I found out that the caffene was not helping a neurological condition (but I have cheated once in a while - drinking some of my husband's coffee).
I have a cat at home that eats wet and dry food. I try and get the indoor variety but he eats just about anything that we put in a bowl. I buy frozen pizza's... Red Baron. I have found that our store will accept coupons where the first 5 digits match on a particular brand. Not just the particular item on the coupon. For example, coupon for single serve works for all full size pizzas. Salsa - just about any brand, Yogurt, Cheese, Cake mixes and icing/ brownie mixes, Flavored creamers for coffee (for my hubby!), Tea, Crystal Light, Butter/Margarine, Canned Vegetables/Tomatoes, Condiments: Mustard, Mayo, A-1.
Hope this is a help to my swapping partners :)
I love listening to oldies ( 50's and 60's ). I also listen to some Country. I recently joined a dance class at our local fitness center and enjoy doing line dances ( some that have been around for years plus new - Swizzle! ). We even do a line dance to Lady GaGa's - Poker Face and Adele's - Rolling in the Deep! Our dance group goes around to assisted living homes and we dance 10 - 15 different dances for the residents. It is so rewarding to see the smiles on their faces.
I have to admit that I don't get to read as much as I would like BUT I do love a good mystery or who done it book.
I am very lucky to work next to a used book store. Her books are very inexpensive and you can accumulate credit when you return books or recirculate ones that you have in your library. She has a gold mine there.
My wishes include: Yarn - I love wool blends and cottons. Dislike "Fun Fur". (Aunt Lydia's Rug Yarn - cotton blends are hard to find so I usually gather up whatever color I can find). Knitting Patterns - intermediate level dishcloths/washcloths. Stationary, Notecards, funny memo pads. Cat's Meow. Life is Good. Lotions to fit in my purse. Vintage items (any unique items that may have been in"grandma's attic".) such as pins, brooches, etc.
And then there is CHOCOLATE!!! Hmmm. What can I say..... Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Peanut M&M's. I do love that combination. LOL
I don't need address books. I have an IPad.
There isn't much that I don't like. I like most things/people. If I don't like something, I will recycle and forward it to someone else. I don't let many things go to waste. With so many great swaps, I do share with my partners.
