I'm a 40 somethingish busy homeschooling mom to two teen aged boys. I'm also an artist who specializes in painting wild women and bad dogs. I love nude portraits and vintage pin up girls. I'm also a country bumpkin living the simple life in rural East Sooke, BC, Canada.

I'm obsessed with Tom Waits and own every album he had ever made. When I'm not hanging with Tom I listen to Mumford and Sons, Fiona Apple and Adele (who doesn't?).

"The Road": Best book ever written. Although I'll read just about anything, I do like books a little on the dark side.

Hmmm, my taste in movies and television is alot like my taste in books- dark. If there's an apocolypse... I'm in! 28 days Later or the Walking Dead. I've also fallen madly in love with Mad Men and all things vintage.

Although I'm primarily known as a painter, I've got a pretty heavy dependency on all things knit and felted. I'm also intrigued by steampunk assemblages, collages and clothing.
