I am in my late 40's and live at the Virginia Beach oceanfront with my two Scottish terriers and 11 society finches. I have a spare bedroom as my art studio (when relatives spend the night, they have to sleep among my many collections of crazy stuff!) but it affords me a small haven to really get the creative juices flowing

I have been collecting flotsam and jetsam from the 1930's & 40's for the last 10 years to make mixed media assemblages and art boxes. I have joined several craft groups recently and am always looking for a new collection of ephemera and bits and things to add to my collage work. I love all things vintage (although it is hard to believe that the word vintage now refers to things I wore and used in High School) I am a director of several art shows, and after a day on the job seeing all sorts of creative things that others create, I have a need to get home and delve into my own world of vintage finds and thingies to make something of my own.

Post 1960's era. Nothing 70's. 80's or 90's (even though some consider that "vintage"!) nothing vinyl, checked, striped, or paisley. Hello Kitty, Cutsie, Country Kitty stuff, ephemera with questionable content - let's keep it clean people! No Halloween, witchcraft stuff, fantasy or magical stuff, no Disney unless it is pre-1970. no heavy metal rock/horror.

Good coffee, earl grey tea, maple sugar candy, licorice allsorts, orchids, fresh mowed grass, day at the beach, seafood AFTER day at the beach, margaritas, long island ice tea, recordings of birds chirping, fuzzy sox, warm fuzzy blankets, raspberry or orange filled chocolates, quiet, old movies, listening to madonna while I houseclean, having the windows open without sneezing, polite and courteous people, camp fires at the beach, good wine, even better with friends!
