*** ADDRESS HAS BEEN UPDATED MAY 6, 2020***
I've been gone for about 12 years and I'm back and ready to get my swap on! I'm a crazy cat lady in my late 30s who basically lives in a cubicle. LOL. I will go through later and see if any interests need to be updated, but I'm sure most are the same. I'm easy to please and just love getting mail and also putting smiles on faces! :)
This is for the international magazine swap--
I'm into anything new age or paranormal related (even if it's an international magazine similar to Weekly World News, although I prefer "real" magazines). I also like anything that is Asian pop culture/fashion or entertainment (manga, anime, jpop, etc.). Men's magazines like Maxim and Stuff are pretty nifty (I like the articles too, damn it!) and would love to see something similar from another country (but not the same magazines). I'd be interested in seeing some women's magazines that are different from the usual fashion magazines, too (something along the lines of Bust). Cooking and health/diet magazines are great as well! If you're really clueless on what to send, I'm always down with adult entertainment or comic books. I hope that's a start. I'm sorry my profile isn't really filled out much . . . I need to find the time to do it properly. :o/
By the way, I don't have a preference as to what I don't want to receive . . except no Entertainment Weekly. I get that one already. Also, I have the April issues of Cosmo, Beyond, Psychology Today, and Whole Living: Body and Soul. If you have new issues of these, I'd be more than happy to receive them as well. Cosmo and occasional tabloids (even Weekly World News) are frequent purchases and I'd be happy with those. I'm also OK with other women's magazines or celebrity gossip.
I am a very easy-to-please person for this swap. I looooove Hello Kitty! I'm a big lover of office supplies/stationary-type stuff, stickers, pens, pins, stuffed animals/other toys, snacks, hair clips (no ponytail holders because I have pretty short hair), lipgloss, nailpolish, socks, basically anything HK-themed! I was supposed to get an HK daily planner for X-mas from a friend, but she lost it before she could give it to me, so if you can find anything like that, I would love you forever! Also, my favorite colors are blue, black, silver, and purple . . . but I can get down with pink, too. I hope this helps!
I'm a big coffee and tea fan, and not very picky at all! I love 'em both hot or cold and with or with out caffeine.
Unfortunately, I don't have a coffee maker (I usually grab my coffee on the go or at work), so if I ever get involved with a coffee-related swap I would prefer something that doesn't require a coffeemaker. Coffee-type beverages are good, too.
I really do like all types of teas and like looseleaf or in bags. Green, black, white, herbal, bubble, it doesn't matter. Teas are great! I don't like anything too spicey (as in teas with a lot of pepper, etc.), but some are good when made with milk (like teas with ginger in them). I love various Asian teas, including Indian teas like chai or Ayurvedic teas. However, everything else great as well! I've gotten some interesting ones from the herbal shop at the renaissance festival. I also like just regular old American and UK teas. Anything is good . . . I love tea!
I'm also a big fan of hot apple cider . . . mmmm . . . so good. Cocoa is delicious as well.
food/beverages, stationery/office supplies and related items (stickers, stamps, etc.), bath/body/skin/nail/lip/hair care/cosmetic items, things from other countries (especially Asia), kawaii things (big Hello Kitty fan), animal-related things (FYI, I have an American short-haired cat and 2 tiny-toy poodles . . . dogs live w/ my mom though :o/), foreign money (I collect it!), anything punk/emo/goth-ish, mixed tapes or CDs, books you love and think I should read, philosophy/religion-related items, anything having to do with the unknown or unsolved mysteries (I'm a total X-Phile! I love that "weird" stuff!), things that are amusing/comedic, trivia books/games, puzzle books (I'm not so good at crossword puzzles, though :o/), fairy stuff, Harry Potter goodies, clothing items (ask me for sizes/preferences . . . panties and socks are items that I can always use, but I like clothes in general), alcohol-related items, "naughty" adult-oriented things, anything that can help me with stress/lack of energy and other self-help items (I'm a clinically depressed, socially anxious pack rat/workaholic/insomniac), umm . . . I just like "stuff" in general (hence the previous "pack rat" comment)!
And, just so you know, my favorite colors are blue, black, purple, and silver.
country music, gospel music, anything proselytistic (I LOVE learning about religions, but I don't want anyone to try and convert me!), gold items, flip flops (I get blisters between my toes, plus I just can't walk right in 'em), really hot foods/seasonings (spices are fine . . . I just don't like an overabundance of heat), clothing items that are primarily orange, beer memorabilia (don't really drink the stuff), hmm . . . I'm not sure what else. I try to list any dislikes and whatnot in the comment section of swaps.
