Music is a special thing to me. I am very emotionally involved with my music and what I like changes with my moods. I grew up loving punk rock and now have mellowed out a bit and embrace the rock-folk thing. I enjoy Johnny Cash, Elvis, Social Distortion, Rancid, Ani Difranco, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, Sublime... The list goes on and on... I love listening to music new to me too, so I love getting mix CD's!
This is a strange one too.... I like fantasy.... Elminister series, Drizzt... I love true crime/profiling and lots of sociological crime stuff... a good fiction is always great too, and sometimes some Literature and Philosophy/Theology.... Depends how much energy I am willing to put into reading...
I LOVE getting mail and I LOVE giving presents... this is a great place for me! I have participated in a few swaps now, and I have found it amazing! Everyone I have met on this site has been super friendly and I have obtained some cool stuff. As far as the rest of my life goes, I am a probation officer and I love my job. I have an awesome husband that has stuck with me for 6 years and no pets or kids right now... but I'm thinking either one or the other will change soon!
I love getting homemade things from others, but I am not overly talented at making things myself. I love jewelry and handmade cards... I love anything knitted... especially chunky knits... I love things made in earth tones or have a "natural" look... I have sometimes been described as a "hippy". I would love chunky necklaces and bracelets (or beads/pendants/etc. to make my own), brooches, scarves, fun underwear (size large) and anything with an owl motif.
I'm not a huge TV fan but I do love the Gilmore Girls, Dexter, Lost and The Office...
I like kids movies like Willy Wonka, The Spiderwick Chronicles and Mr.Magorium's Wonder Emporium... I like movies that have a lot of action and colour (I think I may have ADHD)... anything a bit artsy... and sometimes violent (V for Vendetta, Pulp Fiction) And sometimes weird comedies (Office Space, Super Troopers, Anchorman)
