i am sarcastic about absolutely everything, which may or may not prove to be some sort of defense mechanism. i love politics and a big mug of creamy hot chai. i could spend days on end listening to bob dylan, reading allen ginsberg poems, and laying in a bed covered in white linens. i live in the deep south and absolutely love the thick, stale air in the summer.. and the winter. i love spending as much time as possible in the grass and or natural bodies of water and i refuse to wear pants ever again. narwhals are my absolute favorite animal and i hope within the next year i have one tattooed on my forearm. i love anything day of the dead &/or kitsch.

i listen to music constantly. i love folk music most, but also indie, punk, riot grrrl, and 90's alternative. devendra banhart, sondre lerche, bikini kill/anything related to kathleen hanna ever, wilco, iron & wine, richard hell & the voidoids, the ramones, bratmobile, etc etc etc.

i love beat literature. lovelovelove. allen ginsburg, kerouac, burroughs, synder welch, mcclur, whalen, etc etc etc. naked lunch is one of my favorite books ever. i also love russian llterature, nabokav, toltsoy, and dostoevsky most noteably. lolita makes a close second. after that, i love mid-20th century american authors and any cheesy coming of age story. the catcher in the rye, white oleander, flower children, drop city, anything harry potter, breakfast of champions, slaughterhouse five. and so on.

i love to sew and cross-stitch, ironically of course. i love to make things out of felt and ribbon. i make a lot of jewlery and am slowly but surely teaching myself to knit. more than anything i love to make everything tacky and make things myself instead of having to buy them. i love thrifting/reusing materials and generally lessening my dependence on big business.
