I've lived in the suburbs of Chicago all my life (Go Cubs!!) and after vacationing and visiting places around the world, I'm always happy to come back home. I'm a midwest girl at heart.

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I tend to see movies the weekend they premier; about the only type of movie I don't like is horror films. A perfect Friday/Saturday night would be meeting a few friends for drinks and listening to a live band.

I wish I was industrious enough to craft, but I have almost no artistic abilities. I collect handblown glass balls (aka witch balls) which are the size of Christmas ornaments. I also love all types of Christmas ornaments and candles.

A couple months ago I got my first pet in over 15 years...a cat named Gus. Before Gus my only other pet was a family dog named Corky that lived for almost 20 years. While I thought I was a dog lover, Gus has changed my opinion and now I can also say that I'm a cat lover as well as a dog lover.

Some quick favorites: food - anything with chocolate and mint, color - blue, flower - tulip & roses, pet-dog and cat, time of year - Fall, holiday - Halloween. My fridge could always use another magnet and I'm always short on pens and pads of paper.

I love most types of music, but my favorite artists would include: Bad Company, Queen, Eagles, Journey, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Elton John, Kenny Wanye Shepard, Il Divo and most anything 80's.

North by Northwest, The Color Purple, The Wedding Singer, The Sound of Music, Singing in the Rain, Star Wars and Unforgiven.

Lost, Desperate House Wives, 2 1/2 Men, West Wing, Friends, and old reruns of MAS*H and possibly my most guilty pleasure - Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
