I am a French teacher and librarian in an elementary school, but am just a few years from retirement. I'll miss the relationships I have at school, but I think I'll be a natural at filling my time (starting with naps). My first language is English, but I think it's exciting to be able to voice your thoughts in a different language, and I think speaking to someone else in their first language helps build community. I love coffee, chocolate, kids, animals, books, trees and a sense of community. I have three children who are young adults now and we have two cats. I live in a small town with tons of character; there are always community events happening. Having been a teacher for many years, I love running into current and former students at events around town. I'm a postcrosser and have joined swap-bot for the connections with other people around the world. I'd love to receive anything you enjoy sending, but if you prefer some ideas, my favourite colours are yellow and green. I love natural colours; I'm not drawn to bright and shiny, but there's nothing I dislike or wouldn't appreciate.
