My two loves are sewing & jewelry making. I'm disabled and those two crafts make up both of my days. I like to work unusual stones, clasps and spacers into my work making concentrating the eye to one particular part of the piece.
Sewing I make a lot of large burp cloths, pin cushions, coasters, mini owls, baby shoes and quilted items like candle mats, pot holders and bibs.

Hi! Welcome to Swap Bot!
I saw your post on the chocolate bar swap about being a newbie... I was there just a few months ago. Getting your feet wet takes a bit of patience, but is totally doable! There are many swaps open to you if you take the time to browse. You may have to stick to postcards or simple stuff to get going, but that's okay! Postcard are fun. :) There are also lots of "newbies welcome" swaps, but beware... they can be flaker bait.
"No newbies" requirements are there to protect swappers from the folks who sign up just to receive goodies, then flake. You will be glad for them soon enough. :)
The Newbie Swap Group would be a great group for you to join! There is also this thread in the forums where newbies can post and seasoned swappers willing to swap with you can help you out.
One major thing that is required for almost all swaps is a well filled out profile. People can be very suspicious of blank profiles, especially on a newbie's profile. Plus, swappers can't know what you would like if there is no way to learn about you. :) I would recommend filling that out asap!
