Wow I can't believe that I have been away for so long. 8 years?? But I never forgot Swap-bot. I love rubber stamps, polymer clay, beads, quilt patterns, and wire work. Put them all together somehow and I'm happy :) Anything with an oriental, nature, antique, or textural theme I crave! I switch from craft to craft frequently, every time I see something in a magazine or on tv I just have to do it and it becomes my favorite (for that day) lol. I'm wanting to try some steampunk jewelry next.
I have been married for 37 years to a retired cowboy, and have a boy 35, and a girl 33, who gave me a grandson in 2015!. I now work two jobs a day, as office manager of each. I really like making the change in the middle of the day so I don't get so bored.
I'm also an avid Atkins dieter. Not that fond of it but it works so I'm doing it.
Current crafts:
Polymer Clay: I like to make polymer clay molds, so I collect items that I can use to impress into a mold, such as old jewelry. I also like to make polymer clay beads that have texture on them, so I also try to find texure sheets to impress into the clay.
Rubber Stamps: I also enjoy collecting rubber stamps of any kind. In my next project I am going to try to hand carve some rubber stamps, and also I would like to look into making stamps with my computer using liquid photopolymer.
Quilting patterns: I haven't made any quilts (might try some pillows) but I love the graphic shapes of the patterns and collect old pattern magazines (especially very old traditional patterns) and plastic templates for quilts.
Stencils: Lately I have enjoyed trying out some theorem (multilayered) stencils and found some stencil books that you can use to make your own. I would like to try to decorate some boxes with stenciled colonial designs.
Colors: Like: Mahogany, browns, silvers, metallics, naturals and rich colors,. Dislike: garish, stark, too bright colors.
Smells: Like: Lemon, Lime. Dislike: flowery, strong smells.
My favorite themes:
Lord of the Rings (Tolkien, fantasy)- Dragons, swords and shields, armor, wizards, CASTLES, etc.
Asian - Calligraphy, symbols, geishas, landscapes, trees, murals.
Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls - I collect Nancy Ann Storybook antique bisque dolls, especially the ones that need a lot of TLC! Estate sale finds are the best even if missing a lot of parts!

The Lord of the Rings (series) by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Sword of Truth (series) by Terry Goodkind

Welcome to Swapbot! I see you are still very new, but Greenwoodtree's rating is so positive and appealing, I'm sure you'll be collecting numbers and hearts in no time. I'm your send-to partner for the Elven Heraldry swap - looking forward to what you'll design for me! @masterbard
Thanks for joining my International Spice Swap. Glad to have you!
