I want to make it Very Clear that I will always deliver on any Swap that I enter, usually having the Swap Item(s) ready before the send date. This is what I consider a Promise. I take this very seriously.
On a lighter note, I am a happily married woman who lives on a sheep ranch (yes, shearing, carding and spinning involved, very hands on!) in the middle of Canada. I have two grown children who share my love of anything unusual and extraordinary. What a blessing they are!
My favorite music is Led Zeppelin, Enya, Lady Gaga, The Gypsy Kings, Shakira, Santana and any and all blues and jazz.
I have read Alice Through the Looking Glass and Alice in Wonderland over and over and memorized the poem 'Jabberwocky'. I've read almost every sci-fi book in existence and have just recently finished viewing for the second time the Oz series-made-for-the-BBC 'Farscape'. I highly recommend it for its depth of characters and complex plot. Currently, am watching the series and reading the book for 'the Game of Thrones', and totally enjoying the costuming.
Brazil is my favorite movie, very sculptural, and i love to watch any sci-fi movie presently made. Anything that is CGI attracts me as the technical wizardry involved is legendary!
Antiques Roadshow gets my pulse up and running, It's probably the History of the items and the responses of the hosts that make my day.
I am a Visual Artist, and enjoy many methods for producing beautiful and interesting pieces, but I seem to be most at home with Sculpture in any media; drawing, especially of the human form; researching pretty well everything historical; Knitting (intermediate level); Making (Teaching) Hand-Built Pottery; Ceramic Dolls; and Sewing Costumes for our local Theatre Group. Currently I am teaching myself Metalsmithing. (Lots of tools!).
I love Art History and Science, believe only in Evidence and do much research into how things were done in the long-ago past. I am a bit of a Norse 1000 AD Recreationist; and Forensic Archaeology greatly interests me.
Please don't send me anything other than what we are swapping for as I have an Abundance of things here. I don't expect any extra, Please! I'm in this swapping group because it fuels my artistic self so excellence and thoughtfulness will be the best thing ever!

Hi Hazel! I'm one of your partners for "Read My Profile and Leave a Nice Comment #2!!" Just reading through your prolfile is making me grin, haha. I love watching the Antiques Roadshow too! Unfortunately it doesn't air as much anymore where I live. Farscape is awesome! Though it does get a little wacky in one of the seasons! lol. Sci-fi novels/movies are my fave! We don't get much of a range with sci-fi novels in Australia though :(
We should totally swap some time! "Jabberwocky!!" <3
I've only been to Toronto and around Detroit really, but I'd love to explore more of Canada. I lived in Michigan before I was of driving-age. One day...I will go. There's so much I miss about "seasons." I'm one of your partners for "Read My Profile and Leave a Nice Comment #2!!" You definitely seem like an extraordinary person/artist. I used to watch Antiques Roadshow all the time, but I don't have cable anymore. I always loved the little chimey music noise when they would show the appraisal amount. haha. I think it's so cool that you sew theatre costumes as well, especially with your love of the historical, I bet they're great! Art History is a great subject- my sister has always been much more artistic than me in a lot of ways, but she got me into Art History while I was helping her study in school. She now does more general history, but I still love Art History. I definitely think people need to research more about the way things used to be done. Well I hope you like my comments and good luck in future swaps! Sincerely,
Simone, 26, California, USA
Read my profile, leave a nice comment: Hi Hazel, First let me say, "Welcome to swap-bot", hope you are enjoying yourself so far. I've never been to Canada, but would love to visit some day! Being a Visual Artist sounds like an amazing job, you should post some photos of things you have made, bet they would be a joy to view. Hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Robyn
