I grew up in Randolph, MA, got 3/4 of the way through college in the Berkshires (Western, MA) and decided that I had enough of the snow and cold. Upon my mom's request, I finished my BA, and hightailed it outta MA for sunny Florida. I spent the majority of my 20's living in Orlando, loving the sun, hitting the beach, perusing the themeparks and having the time of my life. Around 25, I realized retail and customer service wasn't my bag and got serious about what I loved: children and education. I became a teacher for toddlers and decided to get my Masters in Early Childhood Education. I completed my Masters in Dec. '08 and the following summer, decided to move back to Mass to be closer to my family. I am currently teaching pre-school at a private school in Central Mass. I love it and I wouldn't give up teaching for anything. In my free time I read, travel, play guitar, go to baseball games (Go Red Sox!), and troll yard sales in search of games, books and toys for my preschool classroom. I am also really into photography and will take pictures of just about anything.
I'm new here. Please be kind. If you think you can help me out in some way by making a suggestion, please do so, but be nice about it.
I love music in general but my favorites are top 40, R&B, hip hop. I love anything with symbols relating to music: notes, g clef, f clef, staff, etc.
I love all crafts. Working with 3-4 year-olds makes me very crafty!
I'm a reality TV junkie!
*stickers (I will take anything. Sometimes I use them to put on my envelopes to send to people, but most of the time they end up in my classroom for the kids.)
*rubber stamps (I'm specifically looking for one that says "Hi, My name is:" like those name labels)
*post-it notes (the cuter the better!)
*In my pre-school classroom we have a treasure box where we let the kids pick out a "treasure" each Friday. I'd love to get stuff to add to this box. Ages are 3-4 (examples: happy meal toys, small containers of bubbles, playdoh, kiddie jewelry)
*childrens books
*childrens music
*adult fiction books (mystery, thriller, chick lit, comedy)
*cool & different pens
*sharpies (any size/shape/color)
*guitar sheet music (in chords)
*cheap, but cute costume jewelry (prefer silver coloring over gold if applicable)
*kitchen or painting aprons
*silly bandz
*recipes (any and all: crockpot, dinner, salads, baked goods, your favorite, etc.)
*arts & crafty things (ribbons, buttons, foam pieces, beads, etc - anything I can put on the table and let my kids make an art project with.)
*tote bags
*anything musical
*address labels (with my address & some sort of decoration on them, not blank or with JUST my address)
*post cards - I prefer city or landscape pictures from where you live, or your favorite place to vacation. I also like the funny/cartoon ones.
*packaged candies (by this I mean either individually wrapped or factory sealed package. Something that wouldn't come undone by twisting the ends, like tootsie rolls. I love em, but if you throw 2 or 3 of them in a package, I won't eat them. However, if you send a factory sealed bag of them, I will. I'm squeamish about my food and can't eat anything that could be opened, then closed again without being noticeable.)
*chocolate (white and milk are my favorites. I don't like dark) - probably only in the cooler months. I wouldn't want anything to melt sitting on a truck or in my mailbox
*T-shirt from where you live. (size XL or XXL - nothing rude or suggestive, I work with kids.)
*dog or cat toys
*anything with glitter on it (or rather glitter that can easily fall off - who'd figure a pre-school teacher would hate glitter?)
*homemade food (send me the recipe instead!)
*crayons (I have more than enough)
*sewing supplies (I don't sew)
*Kawaii/anime/japanese cartoon things
*perfume
*clothing with sequins/charms/jewels/etc sewn onto them.
colors: blue, green, purple, pink (I prefer pastel & bright colors as opposed the generic crayola palette colors)
season: summer
shoe size: 10 (my feet are on the wide side, so nothing "skinny")
scents: vanilla, baked goods (cookie, pie, apple crisp), freshly cut grass, lilac
flowers: sunflower, daisy
dogs: boxers
baseball: Red Sox
basketball: Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics
soda: diet coke, orange
*I have no allergies.
*I live with one dog and two cats, so if YOU have allergies, please let me know and I'll do my best to make sure nothing gets into or near your package or letter.
*I love pickles. All kinds. I recently learned to make my own.
*I like soft T-shirts that feel like they've been worn for years. (size XL or XXL)
*I celebrate Christmas, but I am very aware of other holidays that are celebrated because my school celebrates everything. I usually use "Merry Christmas" stationary during the holidays, so if this offends you, please let me know before I send you something so we can have a positive swapping experience instead of hurt feelings.
*I have been to 27/50 US states.
*I have been to Bahamas, Mexico, Germany, England, France, Italy.
*I want to go to Alaska, Spain, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Japan

Hi Sariah!
Since I'm new I left my comment (letter) By mistake In your message box, Then I realized that it was meant to be left here and I apologize. I loved reading your profile and learn from it since I am new. I see that you have traveled to far away places and I love traveling. I moved from California back to Florida, Like you move back home. And I have a BA in elementary education like you. Lot's of things in common. Love that you are so considerate about pet allergies and religion. Great profile!
Have a great day! Liza
Hello. I just read my prof. comment you left. I noticed that we are quite the opposite, but that is okay. Seeing as how you are "squeamish" I would like to forwarn you that Chuck Pahalniuk writes very graphic, very gruesome novels. V.C. Andrews is a great author, most of her books are more than mildly "adult" but they are all very good. I do hope you get to read a few of my favs. Thanks so much for stopping by my prof.

Great profile! I applaud you for following your dreams in working with kids, that's something I hope to do in the future! I did find it funny a pre-school teacher hates glitter, but glitter is the bad rash of the craft world! It gets everywhere!! You are well traveled! I am jealous of the places you've been and I must tell you that Australia and New Zealand are both awesome places and I wish you luck on getting to both of them! Hope you've been enjoying swapping on the bot!

It sounds like you've had a bit of an interesting life having been to so many places and living in a different state.
Love your profile, but I'd love to know what crafts you are interested in. All crafts is a bit vague. It's very thoughtful of you to mention that you have pets and for anyone with allergies or a different religion to let you know so you can avoid any problems.
I forgot to add a thank you into the rating! I love everything so much! Thank you! :D
I got the orange stationery for the Tag Through the Alphabet thread, thank you! :)
Hi the hair clips were mailed out last week. Unfortunately I got a bit behind. I thought I had made contact with you in that regards. My apologies. I mailed it through my moms work so you should have it any day now. I deeply apologize.
