I am a 33-year-old male with a house in Kansas City. I thought this would be an interesting way to meet people and learn a little about them. I am interested in getting to know people from different parts of the world and finding out about where they live.

Aesthetically I prefer things with a darker color palette than bright neons and pastels. Something with a darker or more mature tone suits my personality better. It doesn't need to be G-rated or PC to suit me, I'm not going to offend easily.

Some favorites: I'm kind of a nerd so I'm into geeky sci-fi things like Star Trek and Star Wars. I'm a huge Firefly fan. Comic book characters and video game characters I like too. 8-bit Nintendo characters are always a winner.

I like to read both fiction and nonfiction, I do like to write some fiction too. I like listening to and recording music, as well as play guitar.

I like board games and RPGs. My favorite board games are Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Arkham Horror. I also like cartography and am the kind of person who would puts maps on their walls. I am a history buff, and I love to read.

Nothing too kid oriented, no Disney or Hello Kitty characters please. I'm not interested in any religious themes. It's probably better to stay away from politics. Other than that most anything would be OK. I'm not all that picky. I'll probably update this later if I think of anything else.

I'm very creative and I like to create things and work on projects. I have been into game design since I was in grade school. I like creating homemade board games. I like writing fiction. I built and wired my own MAME cabinet. That's like a stand-up arcade machine where you can switch between playing any arcade game you can think of. I just started building castles and towers from plaster blocks. [Hirstarts] It's a lot of work but I enjoy watching a project take shape. I like to record music on a 4-track machine and make my own songs, including playing guitar. I've tried writing songs but I'm not that good at it. It's just for fun. I love photography and macro photography in particular. I like the thrill of discovery and I love a good science show or documentary. I follow Chiefs football and Jayhawks mens basketball but I wouldn't call myself a sports nut.
