++++++Important update Jan. 28th, 2011. I have been offline for the past few weeks and had to put everything on hold. My mother had major cancer surgery on Jan. 18th. We have a very complipated family situation which included me being estranged from my parents for a number of years, so I spent some time with her before and after surgery. Anyway - she was able to go home yesterday from the hospital and will now beign treatments. As a result of spending so much time running back and forth, some of my swaps for Jan. are late. I mailed several out today and will be mailing out the rest over the next few days. I am sorry to case any worry and will be contacting the partners I am sending late too and explain my situation. Since I intend on making good on all my swaps, I hope that I will be able to participate agian once things get straightened out. I love swap bot and really missed you guys these past few weeks!
I am a SAHM to three children - Brandon, age 10, Brianna, age 9 and Travis age 7 and loving wife to Robert. We are a homeschooling family who loves going camping, fishing and spending time together. I love watching my kids play soccer and basketball. I also enjoy spinning, weaving and knitting. I make and sell goat milk soap and lotion as well as other luxury personal care items.
My music tastes are pretty varied. One day I might be listening to Christan music and the next day - 80s Rock! It really just depends on my mood. Hubby says he can tell what kind of mood I am in just by hearing what radio station I am tuned into! Do not like rap!
My all time fave movie is Legands of the Fall. Some other faves include August Rush, Uncle Buck Wooly Boys, Fargo, anything with Adam Sandler or Chris Farley is great!
My family watches a lot of DVDs in the winter months since we don't get to spend as much time outside becuase of the cold. The kids really like a wide variety of movies - anything funny - but age approp. The boys like Star Wars movies and my little girl likes American Girl movies.
Love Grey's Anadomy!!!
I am a fiber artist! I am a self taught spinner, weaver, knitter, felter and naalbinder who lives and breaths anything related to fiber! Recently I started experimenting with dying and it has really opened up a new avenue to me.
My studio is presently located in our home. It encompases 2 rooms that where formally the dining room and spare room on the main level. This winter, we will be remodeling our laundry room to make it easier for dyeing and felting with an addion of a sink and large tables.
I teach a variety of classes during the year throughout ND, SD, MN and will be traveling to MT to teach my first class there next fall. I love to teach and share my passion for fiber arts with people of all ages!
Some of my fave colors are purple, brown and green. I love "fall" colors and combinations.
Coming from ND - where food is kind of "heavy" I can honestly say that I try to stay away from the traditional foods that are enjoyed around here. I love Mexican and Chinese. I do enduluge in some local comfort foods in the fall/winter - like knephla and borsht soup and some of the homemade breads.
Oh you can never have too many project bags - any size, circ knitting needles - any size, lip gloss (helps especially in the winter!). journals, post it notes, tea or coffee and of course chocolate! I have a seriously addiction to coffee and love any flavor green tea. I love knitting with circ needles - and am looking for 16 in - size 8 and 10 right now. I have a variety of small project bags, but am always looking for more! Of course, cholcolate to go in the bags are nice too!
I am basically pretty easy to please (although I am not sure my hubby would agree with that!) I love little things.....notebooks, pens, magnets, yarn! I always have some kind of craft or art project going on. Either something I am doing or something the kids are working on. Since we homeschool I am always looking for cute project ideas for the kids - especially anything that relates to science.
********About Swapping.........(sorry - this should have been at the top of my page! Because I know about the time and energy that goes into these swaps, I try to rate people that I receive from within 24 hours of recieving the item! Also - if you are receiving an item from me, but haven't gotten it yet, please contact me first before leaving a hasty comment. I don't want anyone to be unhappy, but if there is a problem, please give me a chance to fix it. I will happily re-send an item that may have gotten lost in the mail. But give me a chance to correct it. Thanks!
My kids are my life!
Brandon....who will soon be 11 - is really into paper crafts. He loves soccer, basketball, being outside, fishing and hunting with his dad. He is a very active little boy. Always on the go.
Brianna is 9 and she is a girly girl who likes to play dress up. She has designed some of her own clothes and likes to work with iron ons and buttons. She is very creative and self expressive! She likes to be outside and spend time with animals.
Travis is 7 and is my little sweetie. He loves being with me in the kitchen and helping with cooking and baking. He also likes sports - soccer and basketball -- but is more laid back on the field than his siblings. He plays to have fun! He loves Hot Wheels and Legos.

Hi there. I hope you're OK. I hate to have to remove you from the My Kindle ROCKS! Group. If you come back and make your swaps up you can join again.
And I will also send to your child as well. Like I said I don't mean to sound so mean and I do understand things happen...Please can you contact me as soon as you can. I do need to know what child on your profile I need to send to so I can get the right things for age/sex/ect
I can see that you are partially suspended and haven't been online since 1-14 and partners have been assigned in the valentine swap ages 6 thru 12. I'm going to get advice from Rachel on how to handle this and more than likely will be sending to the partner that you was assigned instead of having a child do without. I'm sorry this sounds so mean, but I hate it when a child gets flaked on
Welcome to the group!
