About Me

I'm a homeschooling Canadian feminist who's recently discovered creativity. I prefer 19th Century lit to other centuries, read more non-fiction than fiction, and love getting new magazines since I don't have many subscriptions but love the format.

I've just started watercolour lessons. And I've also just become interested in the cuteness of Japanese aesthetics as well as the more serious sparse beauty of Japanese art.

Purple is my favorite colour and yet I never seem to have much purple around me. I haven't figured that out yet.

I jog and do yoga. I don't watch TV - only things I can get on DVD or video and I'm much happier since I stopped being undermined by commercials. I collect quotes. I like to make postcards and send them to my sister.

Comment: Hi Sarah, Here's a bit of serendipity. When I opened your envelope, the first card to come out was the mouse. He had no eyes, only glossy round circles. The eyes were upside down and over by the house. I thought, "Oh, how clever, one of the three blind mice 'looking' for his eyes which have floated away." Then I took out the other card, and no eyes at all. They were at the bottom of the envelope! Then I realized that they had all slipped their glue! I liked the mouse card with the eyes upside down and floating around, so I left it like that. They seem to be firmly stuck at the bottom of the house. Actually, now that I look at it, I think the eyes on the mouse card belong to the little green creature on the other card, and it was the mouse's eyes that were on the bottom of the envelope. So - with your permission I am going to glue the mouse's eyes on the green creature, and leave the green creature's eyes floating on the mouse card. Response: M, I'm so glad you found a happy solution. I know that several of the googly eyes sent to me needed regluing, too. I wonder if there is a glue that would be able to hold them on?
