About Me

I'm a handmade arts and crafts fanatic! I love making things and collecting handmade items from around the world. I especially love handmade toys of any kind. I'm originally from NYC but I've lived in many different parts of the US. I love poetry, baseball, dogs, toys, travel and my husband! I've been married for 16 years. I have no children. We have a very old spaniel named Django who we spoil terribly.

I speak some French and Spanish and I'm always looking to improve my skills. I have a special love for maps of all kinds!

Radiohead, The National, Elvis Costello, Cole Porter... my ipod is very diverse.

Favorite Books

Crime and Punishment. The Wild Iris, poetry by Louise Gluck. Almost No Memory, stories by Lydia Davis. I also love young adult/children's fantasy series, like His Dark Materials, The Chronicles of Chrestomanci, The Chronicles of Narnia. I'm reading a lot of Neil Gaiman right now.

Favorite Movies

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Jules & Jim. Coraline.

Favorite Television

The Simpsons!! I have been addicted for years.

Favorite Crafts

Toymaking, knitting, embroidery, paper arts. My favorite thing in the world is making things by hand.
