I am a mum to four amazing kiddoes aged 6, 3, 3, and 19 months. I have an incredible husband who puts up with me admirably, and cycles to work every day!
I reside in a small dairy farming town in the middle of the North Island of New Zealand...we aren't farmers though. We moved down from the big smoke last year and love it.
I can be found knitting, knitting and/or knitting, dabbling in cardmaking, occasionally sewing when the kiddoes are not around and spending far too much time on craft blogs.
We are currnetly renovating out 1920's cottage, finding all sorts of challenges and quirks along the way, while trying to keep to the budget and recycle whatever we can.
I like a wide range. We are huge Bob Dylan fans here! Pretty close second is Larry Norman (RIP). I have a huge love of 80's pop and punk-pop...my favs would be The Clash, Duran Duran, New Order. I am a Christian but don't get into contemporary Christian music or Worship music...but I love Phil Joel...and can claim to know him personally from way back at Youth Group days in New Zealand.
We are a book-loving family. We have thousands of books. I read voraciously.
I truly love Classics of literature- Jane Austen, Shakespeare, Nabokov, Dickens. My fav classics would be Les Miserables and Pride and Prejudice, followed closely and controversially by Lolita.
I don't do too much modern fiction- but enjoy the occasional Harlan Coben, Diana Gabaldon or Jodi Picoult.
I enjoy non-fiction mostly. Fav books would include The Omnivore's Dilemma - Michael Pollan, Animal Vegetable Miracle - Barbara Kingsolver and anything by the very uplifting Sally Clarkson.
Of course hailing from Hobbiton...I have read LOTR trilogy about 4 times.
Too many... Sense and Sensibility, Amelie (with subtitles), Grosse Pointe Blank, Life is Beautiful (with subtitles), Princess Bride (As you wish!), LOTR, Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Currently loving Boston Legal, House and still E-R.
Dvd's of Seinfeld, Monty Python, Little House on the Prairie.
I love to knit, knit, knit. Getting into felting too. I sketch and sometimes paint. I like little objects like clothespin dolls, mini softies, mini tote bags etc.
My fav styles would be vintage but not too shabby chic, fifties/seventies retro, black and white graphic and a hint of victoriana. I don't do gothic, cutesie, folkart or 80's glam (think sequins...ewwww!)

Hello!
I was just browsing around trying to find movie lovers to invite to my new group Movie Madness and I noticed we have the same bday! Well, except for the year (I'm 1972). But I thought that was so cool :)
I hope to see you in my group!
