I'm a wanna be sci-fi geek who's totally not cool enough to be one. I'm super obsessed with all things Joss Whedon, Dr Who and Felicia Day.
I'm also an avid coffee drinker (I like to get whole beans and grind them every morning. The smell is to die for), baker and NYR hockey fan.
I'm mostly a classic rock kinda gal. I love The Doors, Tom Petty and Zeppelin.
I've basically given up on all fiction. I'll read anything Chris Bohjalian writes but short of that I'm mostly a non fiction reader.
I always say my two favorites are Cry-Baby and Reservoir Dogs. However, I also love: Rocky Horror, Addams Family, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Office Space, Penelope, The Breakfast Club, My Cousin Vinny and about 10,000 others.
I'm currently loving The Walking Dead, Dr Who, Torchwood, How I Met Your Mother and Terriers (and if The Guild counts as TV, that too). Favorite past shows include: all things Joss Whedon, Gilmore Girls, The Sopranos and That 70s Show. A super special shout out to Caprica that SyFy canceled waaaaay too soon.
Likes: pretty paper, pencils, coffee, tea, cupcakes, cookies, black and white, red wine, sand, charm bracelets, Dr Seuss, words, weird unusual stuff, ferris wheels, scabble pendants, vintage/retro carnival stuff
Dislikes: Twilight (I'm totally on board with vampires, but being a Whedonite...), Glee, boy bands, white wine, animals (sorry, I would never hurt anyone's pet, but I'm just not an animal person), religious themes, white chocolate and wicker
I love anything with paper. I'll find a way to use it all. I do lots of collaging, ATC and envelopes. Holy envelope madness! I make zillions of them. They are all over the house. Lol.
Lately I've been getting into recycled crafts. I love trying to figure out how to use stuff I'd usually throw away in a new fun (hopefully pretty) way.
Currently I'm trying really hard to make hair bows and tons of oragami. Both are getting better but I would be quite embarrassed to actually swap these with anyone as of yet.
I can't sew, paint or draw to save my life. You might as well ask me to perform heart surgery (which I am about as qualified to do as flying a leer jet or creating an alternative to oxygen).

Hey there--I saw a note you'd written on someone's profile mentioning The Giver and other YA fiction. Thought I'd invite you to check out our new group District 13 ...please consider joining us (and adding a couple of favorite YA authors to your profile) if you're interested. Cheers!
The piece you created for me is PERFECT! It was dark, it is an awesome collage....I knew it had to be from you. I LOVE it! It is truly wonderful. As soon as I got it home it went up on the wall in my walk way. It is wonderful. I am a firm believer in things do not have to be overly collaged to be beautiful. This is truly a piece of art. Perfection in simplicity...my favorite kind! Thank you so much!
forgot to thank you for the sweet guitar paper! I love it too!! have not seen that one b4 and am so excited to craft with it-- thanks again-- best wishes!! (: janelle
Thanks for cupcake atc,lovely envie.
My partner loves Joss Whedon and Dr. Who too! He is a total sci-fi geek. When we first got together he made me watch his whole box set of Buffy DVDs :-)
Hi again!
I have not seen the new Alice in Wonderland movie yet! I'm kinda torn on whether or not I want to!
Thanks! I'd love to send you a crocheted cupcake if you want to swap after the holidays!
Indeed. I agree wholeheartedly. In the continued festive Thanksgiving nature--I'd like to thank Eric Lindros for introducing me to hockey. I watched one of his juniors games in 1990 and was hooked on hockey ever since. He's dug a comfortable spot in my heart.
Hockey Hotties swap Interested??
I know. I can certainly hold my own in conversations. Most guys think chick female hockey fans like the game for the hot guys. Not true, though it's nice. I wouldn't devote the time, money or energy I have for over 20 years for a cute boy. LOL
I'm glad to 'meet' you as well. OH we both love the Walking Dead. That show is my new crack. I just love it!!! Plus we both love The Doors and That 70s show. I'm sure I've seen every single episode at least twice :)
I have a group on here that's into darker type interests--but it has 2 Walking Dead swaps right now if you'd like to join. Let me know.
