I am French, 40-ish and I'm in Paris though I was raised in our French "Atlantic Northwest".
I am married, we have a girl, born in May 2011 and a boy born in September 2013.
I love to cook, though I have to admit that my husband is a better cook than me (he is truly amazing). I love chocolate and roasted chicken, I hate vinegar and can't drink a drop of alcohol... which is kind of anti-social in France ;)
I love sewing and embroidering, though I still need a lot of practice to make things perfect. I am not super patient and I like small projects because I need to see them finished ;)
I mainly sew house-things such as pouches, soft toys and children clothes. I love Waldorf dolls and traditional embroidery (cross-stiching bores me to death).
I also started knitting in 2008 and I am hooked! Huge fan of Norwegian and Aran patterns.
Jazz (I am a fan of Diana Krall) and songs that have a meaning, from campfire songs to slam and rap ;)
Blues, combinaisons of pink and grey, teal and brown, turquoise and camel, I am a rather classic girl :)
Vintage Liberty fabric, especially those where you can recognize the actual flowers on the print
Soy candles
Beanie babies (dogs and cats)
Chocolates, especially the praliné-filled one
Stamps from all over the world
Fabric or ribbons from your part of the world
Scandinavian things - including Tone Finnanger/Tilda, Ottobre... - : my husband is half Norwegian and I am totally in love with anything Norway ;)
Sewing and knitting patterns of all kind
Things I can't find over here: chocolate-covered cranberries, freezer paper ( great for crafts), Lipton vanilla tea
Hello Kitty, mangas and Japanese cartoon-like characters
Glow-in-the-dark, purple, neon colors
Gothic, dark, depressing sci-fi
Rosewater and anything rose-scented (smells like the rotten flower to me)
Anna Geddes pictures (sorry, those newborns are not cute, yet)
I don't do ATCs, card embellishing, scrapbooking..., so I wouldn't know how to use the supplies if you sent me any. But I'd love to see what YOU do with them ;)
and so many others, I love reading! I've joined book swaps and book-idea swaps lately and I've discovered some new authors I'd nevery heard of, really neat.
Oh and I'm trying Norwegian/Scandinavian litterature too, though I need to read it in French or in English, my Norwegian is not good enough so far. I enjoyed the Book of Dina, Kristin Lavransdatter, Grows of the soil and the more recent novels by Anne Radge.
Like: - Kids books in any language, where the hero is an animal and with cute images. I love Beatrix Potter, Bristish writer M. Christina Butler, Andersen tales, the French publishing company "Père Castor". I always try my best to find kids books with really sweet pictures, there are so many ugly things out there. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of Disney-turned into books. While I enjoy the movies, I don't think that Disney characters look that well in books.
Like: Kids music, lullaby CD, any language
Like: socks! One can never have too many socks, DS is currently a size 24-26 (European), DD is 28-30.
Like: natural yarns in soft colors, that I can use to knit something for her
Like: cute or fun buttons
Dislike: Things with Disney characters on it, kawai stuff, I won't have any of that HelloKitty as long as I can fight it :)
Dislike: plastic stuff, scented stuff

I'm so glad the velveteen rabbit made it to you safely! And my, it's an honor that he will be adorning the nursery wall. :) I had fun making this for you.
Just a quick note to let you know your Adopt a Book Pet package went off in today's post! :)
I just mailed off your Little House Christmas angel package this morning. It probably will not make it across the ocean in time for Christmas; however, I'll be thinking of you and wishing you a happy holiday anyways. Enjoy! :)
