I'm a 24-year-old American writer, artist and traveler. I am in grad school in London. I am a huge fan of old books, anything vintage, typewriters, fountain pens, and music. I also consider myself a bit of a coffee addict and cheese monger. I've been to 14 U.S. states, Paris, London, Madrid and Berlin. My mother is an artist and I started making art before I could read or write. I grew up in the desert of Arizona and while I hated it when I lived there, I miss it now more than ever. I love to create things, whether it's stories, poems, a letter, or an art journal. I work as a financial journalist so my art journals and stories are my way of staying creative. I have a weird love of numbers and data but I consider myself a storyteller above all else.
Les Miserables, American Gods, On the Road, His Dark Materials trilogy, The Devil's Cup. I really love classical English and Russian literature. In the last few years I've been trying to read more modern novels, such as Neil Gaiman, Kerouac, and John Green.
Fun fact: I didn't learn how to read until I was in third grade but was reading on a college level by the time I was 13.

Art journaling, collage, lettering, book making, drawing. For some reason I can't link to my Instagram but I'm @illustratedlifeofmyrh It will give you a good idea of my art style and what I like.
Maps. Anything cat related. Vintage cutouts. Old photos. Pages of old books in foreign languages. Postage stamps. Washi tape. Lace. Rubber stamps. I am also looking for mushroom images- whether diecuts, cutouts from images or washi tapes.
Turquoise, lavender, burnt sienna, teal, navy blue, magenta.
I am a coffee addict. And I'm not talking about your average cup of joe or Starbucks (don't get me started on how much I dislike Starbucks). No, I am a coffee snob and love third-wave generation coffee ground and steeped to perfection and poured into a white cup by a flannel-wearing hipster in some obscure coffee shop. I am also a huge fan of old books and have an extensive collection. My prize possession is an 1862 French edition of Victor Hugo's "The Last Days of a Condemned Man" I am also in love with French and Victorian-era culture. My boyfriend is French and I am currently trying to learn French so anything related is appreciated. I also love vintage ephemera, such as old photos, tickets, and library cards. I am also an avid zine collector and would love to do a zine swap with someone. I also make my own zines if anyone is interested. In terms of food, I am a Kinder and Haribo fiend. It's becoming easier to find in America but there are some flavors you can't get here, like the coconut Haribo ones. In addition, I collect vinyl, for what that is worth. I am not willing to swap my collection but if there's any vinyl/music themed postcard/paper swaps, I'm in! My favorite artists are Joesph Cornell and Vincent Van Gough.
I am also starting a Midori Traveler's Notebook soon. If you have any tips about using their journaling system, let me know!
Anything children or Disney related. Touristy stuff. Religious things. Lotions or perfume (I have sensitive skin). I am also allergic to most "mixed" metals or aluminum. The only metal I am not allergic to is sterling silver.
