Hi! My name is Mellifera, but you can just call me Melli :) My favourite color is purple, I like hydrangeas and I like bees

I'm currently studying a double degree of Law/Sociology and I wish to become a copyright lawyer in future (4 years to go!). I love Jujutsu Kaisen, the Yakuza/Judgement series (specifically the Lost Judgment DLC, Kenmochi Shusuke my beloved), Disco Elysium and Formula 1 (GO FERRARI AND ASTON MARTIN!!)

I write occasionally, make books and have dabbled in just about every hobby known to man. I'm brand new at this, so please have so patience, but I'd love to become part of this community!

I often struggle with my memory, and are often incredibly busy and way from home, so if it takes me a while to complete reviews/respond to letters I apologize. As such, all my sent items will include either a 'THOUGHT FROM ME TO YOU' where I attempt to put all my current thoughts to paper, or a 'POEM FROM ME TO YOU' where I share a poem that has particularly stuck with me lately. These are never going to be frightful, or rude, or judgemental, and if they do come off that way I apologize - these are my genuine attempts to bare a part of me to you, through the written word. I ask you respect that, and instead of providing criticism, attempt to join me in a discussion of them.

My favourite artists include Mitski (I can't tell you how many times I've listened to My Love Mine All Mine and cried), K/DA, Tyler the Creator, phonk music, anime openings (~The words that curse you are stuck in the back of my throat~) and more recently the band ATARASHII GAKKO!

Right now I am reading Iron Widow by Xiran Zhao, but I do also love Jane Harper (The Aaron Falk trilogy is fantastic give it a read if you can). I also really love fanfiction! I very rarely cry when I read, but oh boy there are some fics out there that have left me emotionally devastated for DAYS.

Some movies I've been meaning to watch include: Everything Everywhere All At Once, Nope, A Portrait of a Lady on Fire, The Menu, Interstellar, and Akira

Definitely Jujutsu Kaisen, though I have been watching the Apothecary Diaries recently and Dungeon Meshi. I don't particularly have a 'favourite' TV show but if I did I would say Over the Garden Wall and Succession. I also really liked Blue Eye Samurai!

Just about everything under the sun EXCEPT my nemesis crocheting >:( I do also really like bookbinding, which is my passion and you can see above on my website/tumblr page

I dislike JK Rowling, hypocrites, Taylor Swift, people who think suffering builds character, the sound and texture of ceramic, the police, AI, people whos ideologies are not rooted in compassion and kindness and the state of Israel.
