I am the wife of an awesome man named Rich, and the mom of a 10 y/o boy Edison and a 6 y/o girl Claudia.
Pets: Millie (black lab); Mr. Roper (havanese puppy); Pokey (calico cat)
Likes: retro, vintage, kitschy. Birds, music, animals with big eyes, mushrooms, owls, HEDGEHOGS, vintage floral prints, vintage fabrics, coffee, peanut butter & chocolate, the Yankees, knitting stuff, yarn...Funny old advertising, anything from the 40's 50's 60's 70's or 80's (is that vintage now? Oh man, feeling old...)
Did I mention I love yarn? Oh, and coffee. Knitting while drinking coffee? Heaven!!!
I am a Christian but I do not force my beliefs on anyone else. I just know my life was radically changed when I needed Jesus and He showed up in a powerful way in my life. He still shows up in a powerful way and I am thankful to not walk in this world alone.
Colors: turquoise, yellow, red
Passionate knitter, piano teacher, church music director, Premier Jewelry seller.
Likes Harry Potter, penguins, music
Loves loves loves PUPPIES!!!! And Merida (from Brave)...and Puppies, puppies and more puppies
I am a musician and love pretty much everything (except any screaming death metal - i just don't get it). I tend towards liking folk and quirky and always love recommendations. - Ray LaMontagne - Regina Spektor - Josh Garrels - the Civil Wars - Mumford and Sons - Joanna Newsom
Castle, Nashville, Project Runway, Smash, Parenthood (I cry Every.Single.Episode)
Knitting!!!!! knitting and MORE knitting.... Cardmaking, quilting (simple ones -I'm not that great at it!) I'll try any craft at least once ;)
Vampires. I've been terrified of them since I was a kid. You can't see them in your mirror!!! What if one is behind you when you are brushing your teeth. :( Scary. So with that, I never got into Twilight (no surprise). But I do love the band Vampire Weekend (go figure!) :)
Cheating husbands (not that you would send me one...but I already had one and I disliked it)
I LOVE to read. I am always happy to hear suggestions of a book (or books) that other people have loved. Favorites that jump to mind: the hunger games series; Jodi picoult; Dianne Chamberlain; Francine Rivers; Joyce Carol Oates; me and Emma (Elizabeth Flock); historical fiction; any good love story, any good family trauma drama...
