Hello :)
So who am I? Good question, and really hard to sum up in a short section...
Random silly facts...
I love scary movies- though I usually watch them through the cracks of my fingers. I get mad when I can't save the world, I seriously thought I was Wonder Woman when I was 4. I have a strict policy that no one cries or vomits alone in my presence. I can keep a secret, but those I tell it to can't. :-) I'm an easy-going girl, that really just enjoys the simple things in life
What I'm doing with my life...
Trying to save the world (still left over Wonder Woman Complex) one smile and deed at a time. Trying to put my money where my mouth is instead of in a collection plate. Trying to live life spontaneously, yet not carelessly. Trying to see people for who they are and not the labels society (or even they) give themselves. Trying to remember that some days I will be the windshield, while other days I will be the bug. Trying to focus on where I am headed in life, without forgetting the paths I have already traveled. Trying to be a good person that my mother would be proud of if she were still alive to see me...
"Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here...we might as well dance."
The most silly thing I'm willing to admit (about myself)...
I'm totally afraid of clowns. There is something seriously wrong with a grown man wearing face paint. Don't even ask...I will NOT go to the circus, I will not hire a clown for any children's parties, I will not watch the movie "IT" unless I don't mind sleeping with the light on for several weeks...
In a nutshell, I'm an odd girl who loves to laugh and enjoy life. I just moved back home to California after living almost 5 years abroad (4.5 years in beautiful Zilina- Slovakia, and 6 months in Stockholm- Sweden). I miss Europe very much...
What I love:
Artsy: I love journaling (bullet, written, and art). I love all media that allows me to journal. I do a lot of "Quilling" work where I twist thin strips of paper into different forms. I would be happy to do that (upon request as it IS time consuming). I also love working with mixed media, textiles, and painting.
I have a fondness for squirrels, the number 6, the colors sage & pink (together), folk art (especially Grandma Moses), history, books books and more books. I love & collect vintage handkerchiefs, books, & clothing.
Please, don't send anything vulgar, overly-religious, and I'm not a "foodie"- so recipes would be entirely lost on me. Oh...and NO clowns. lol...I'm very serious when say I am afraid of them, even if it's a circus picture and the clown is VERY small and in the background...trust me, it will be the first thing AND only thing I will see...and it will haunt me for oh-so-many nights.
I enjoy really anything else. My only preferences (aside from the above paragraph of what not to send me), is that whatever you send me...speaks to YOU, or represents you somehow. I enjoy seeing how art, photos, projects are seen through others eyes. I could tell you all day long of the things I enjoy...but for this outlet, I'd like to see some of the things that you, the sender, enjoy. That would please me greatly, learning new things about other people. IF you prefer to stick to my "likes"...that's totally fine too.
I've added my Pinterest URL... Some of my quilling projects are photographed there. :) It is also a good place to see the things I find creatively pleasing.
If you have any questions, email me... I'm pretty good about responding in a timely-fashion.
Please note: I will always email you after I send out my swaps so you know your mail is on the way. Please email me if there are any problems. I'm not entirely comfortable with being rated...I put my heart into the things I send, so I hope you see/feel that. If you are unhappy with something I've sent, let me know so I may remedy the situation by sending you something else. :)
I'm hoping to swap some fun letters, postcards, ATC's... and learn more about this amazing planet we live on and the interesting people that populate it. Hopefully this will be a way for me to get over being "home-sick" for Slovakia. I'm always open to doing personal swaps as well.
Lets Swap!
Sincerely, Katrina Jane (K.J.)

Hello Katrina, Welcome to swap-bot and I hope you will receive much enjoyment from the swaps that you will participate in, in the future. I have certainly made some nice friends and had wonderful swaps along the way. I am honoured to be your first swap! Best wishes, from Jenny Haines (JenniferMernastin).
