Hello and Greetings to everyone. I joined many years ago and had taken a break, but now back. Alot has changed. My two girls are now grown and have left the nest. I am really OK with this. We talk every day and they are close. I have 1 grandchild, Isla and she is 3. She is my light and I am lucky to be able to watch her often. I am in my 50's and married almost 24 years. I am a Senior Tax Advisor part of the year and work at a Spice and Tea Store the other part. We live in a small town in The Foothills of the Smokey Mountains, North Carolina. We have a small piece of property that I enjoy to garden
I do not craft much anymore other than crocheting. The last few years I have done temperature blankets. I used to scrap book and have all the supplies in boxes somewhere. I hope to get back to it someday. But for now I would appreciate if any partners would refrain from sending stickers and little bits of paper, I have to much already. My favorite things right now is postcards, stationary, writing letters, and sending mail in general.
Things that make me smile: the color yellow, paperweights, funny knick knacks, books (all kinds), jars (all sizes and shapes), the small items that fit in those jars (buttons, game pieces, beads, etc.), patches (the sew on kind), candles, jewelry ( the bolder the better), art supplies (although not sure am very good at using them), nesting dolls, tutles, yard decorations, metal signs, Betty Boop, Kermit the frog (after all its not easy being green). This was just a few that I can think of by just standing around the house. I also really like pictures, all kinds: old, new, painted, printed, crafted, on and on...... After thoughts, I also like wrist watches of all kinds and anything Disney. One can never go wrong with a cool coffe cup either. Adding tins now..just realized I have a huge collection and have them everywhere.
I consider myself very easy to please. I love getting mail and love it someone just takes the time and effort to think of me. "Warm Fuzzies". I hope this helps some of my partners in the future.
Any and all. Feel free to send what nobody else wants. Ad, homemade, weird, ugly. I don't mind them naked and stamped or in an envelope. Take the opportunity to send whatever and however you want. If you decide in an envelope and wish to write an introduction, I am always game to a penpal.
Lately, my husband and I have been cooking together and in to trying new recipes. So, if you have one to share, we will add to our list.

Thanks for joining and taking part of INSPIRATION STATION!
I see that you like yellow, so I hope you like this graphic. :)
It was a lot of fun reading your profile. It is awesome that you have an in to “The Dump.†What kinds of stuff do you get? Once when I was younger, a neighbor threw out a perfectly working Sega Genesis with games and accessories. I snatched that up really quick!
Have a fantastic day!

(Swap: Read my Profile and Leave a nice Comment)
It was fun reading about your adventures. My favorite color is also yellow. The idea of "another man's junk" makes so much sense. You are smart to go for used because we Americans throw so much good stuff away. You help the environment while you make your money go further. I have heard about the postcard swaps. I may follow your lead on that. I also love getting mail & knowing that someone has thought of me. You sound like such a nice person. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year
Hey, this is Mican commenting for the "read the profile and comment" swap! (forgive me I am still new to swap) I read your profile and I wanted to say it is awesome that you are happily married, especially for so long. My parents divorced early in their marriage but they're both happy now which is great! I am only 22 btw, and I am engaged to my bestfriend of 7 years. (we met his freshman year of high school). I also am so jealous of all of your fun collections! I hoard all sorts of random things but my soon to be dosnt like how I "clutter" the house! He will eventually give in! Anyhow it was a joy to peek into your life!
Hi Karen! Thank you so very much for the Christmas cards and PCs. Thanks for the happy mail! I really appreciate your thoughtfulness! :)
